SQUEEEEE!

November 4, 2006 by

Who gets to meet the cast and producers of Medium? Me, that’s who!

That’s right, little ole me…and probably a bazillion other journalists, but who cares? Tuesday I journey to the land of Hollywood to hob-nob with the stars.

Actually, the studio is in Manhattan Beach, not Hollywood, and it is more of a tour than a hob-nob. The point is…oh hell, I don’t have a point. The sole purpose of this post is to say, SQUEEEEE! I get a tour of the Medium set! I get to meet Patricia Arquette and the rest of the cast! I get to meet Glenn Gordon Caron and the other producers! I get to see what goes on behind the scenes!

(gasp) hang on (gasp) need a (gasp) minute (gasp) hyperventilating (gasp)

So what does one wear to a set visit, anyway? I suspect sensible shoes are involved. Much walking to do. My only sensible shoes are sneakers, though. What’s that you say? I had better go shopping this weekend? What an excellent suggestion. Thank you!

Do you know what song it is on the shows promo for this next weeks episode? I can’t find it. It shounds familiar. It goes….”I’ve been walking with a (ghost)…”/ If you can help me out that would be great. Thanks

  5. Sheila says:

Kendrick: It’s “Walking With A Ghost” by Tegan and Sara. If it sounds familiar, you may have heard it in the movie Monster-In-Law. It’s on the soundtrack. Pretty kicky tune.

Sheila! That is so cool. And Sweet. And FAB.U.LOUS. Can you tell I am very excited for you? Do you get to bring a date? Not that I’m soliciting or anything, but we could totally pull it off. I hope shopping went (goes?) well.

  7. Sheila says:

JennBo: There is a whole story to go with whether or not I can bring a date, and it involves the etiquette faux pas I almost certainly committed when I asked if I could bring a second person. Here is the story in a nutshell: no.

  8. G says:

I expect that a more detailed version of the story of the etiquette faux pas will be the subject of a later blog, ne?

    Sheila this is so great!

I can only give you a few tips from when I was able to visit the set of Just Shoot Me. I still have a wristband that David Spade had to wear in that particular episode that he tossed. Yup, I went dumpster diving :)

Picture phone is best bet. Digital cameras are typically frowned upon. But take one anyway, just in case. If you see others using them, go ahead. Perhaps even suck up to your guides and ask them for special permission – if you’re next to them and taking pics, your safe.

I was lucky to make it out of the studio with my life and a photo of the Ghostbusters car. But back then digital cameras were much larger than they are now.

You’re going to be so facinated by everything! Soak up EVERYTHING! I know underwater scenes will NEVER be the same for me again – I know how it’s done now :(

I’m so excited for you! I can’t wait to hear all about it!

Oh my God, I’m soooo jealous! You are going to love it! You have a few days to get ready, and I know you are SOOO excited! Have fun for me, girlfriend! Have fun GETTING READY! HA HA HA!
