50 Actors Who Have Appeared on Medium
February 26, 2008 by Katelyn
Medium needs a lot of actors to make short appearances as criminals and victims on the show. Let’s take a look at 50 people who’ve been Medium guest stars:
Repeat Offenders
These guys just can’t stay away! They are more part-time Medium actors than guests, putting in at least four episodes. Let’s hear it for:
- Holliston Coleman as Ariel’s good buddy Hannah. She’s been appearing since 2005.
- Conor O’Farrell as Larry Watt, the scummy defense attorney. We just saw him in last night’s Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble.
- Angelica Huston hasn’t been seen in all six of her episodes yet, but we know they were filmed, so I’ll put her here, too. She’s the tough Cynthia Keener in this season’s episodes.
- Jason Thornton is another frequent visitor as Troy DuBois.
- Kendahl King is gone but not forgotten. She was Devalos right hand gal for a group of episodes in the beginning.
- Seth Walker was also around for five episodes way back when. He was a detective, but didn’t rate a name if I remember right. Anyone hear him referred to as anything but detective?
- Dan Walters, or detective number two, followed after Seth Walker. For as many episodes as these guys were in, they really should have gotten names.
- Arliss Howard as Captain Kenneth Push was a big favorite of mine.
- Roxanne Hart has had some tough moments as the supportive and loving Lily Devalos.
- Bruce Gray didn’t let a little thing like playing a dead guy keep him off t.v. As Joe’s difficult dad, he is a repeat visitor that Allison could do without.
- Gerry Becker played Marcus Canty and was in two of the Head episodes at the end of Season Three.
- Ted Garcia is another no name. He is newscaster guy on four different episodes.
- Saida Pagan was also a regular as a morning news anchor.
Three Strikes and You’re In
- Neve Campbell, as reporter Debra ,destroyed Allison’s happy life and then met a gory death.
- Arye Gross played Cooper Conroy in the Head episodes.
- Ramon De Ocampo was Aaron Cahill, Joe’s coworker, in Joe Day Afternoon and a few previous episodes. I guess there won’t be any more appearances, since he is the one who was killed in this episode.
- Shashawnee Hall plays no nonsense Principal Phillips.
- John Prosky is the backstabbing friend of Devalos, Tom Van Dyke. Hopefully, he will soon fall out of favor. Note that this actor’s biography contains two whole facts – he is a brother and a son. Someone needs to beef that thing up!
- Kimberly Scott is the coroner in several episodes.
- Mark Sheppard is the diabolical Dr. Charles Walker. You know you’re in for a very gory time if he is listed in the credits on Medium!
- Jason Priestly plays baddie Walter Paxton in the Heads episodes. If you don’t look at any other link on this page, check out his site, but don’t do it when you are at work. He pops up and starts talking to you.
- Margo Martindale plays Catherine, a psychic who gives Allison occasional feedback.
- Kamala Lopez-Dawson is Miss Romney, a take no prisoners attorney.
- Ryan Hurst is a major player in several episodes as Allison’s troubled, but lovable, brother, Michael Benoit.
- Brent Jennings is Wayne.
- Mary Strong is a reporter.
- John Wesley isn’t afraid to lay down the law as a judge on several episodes.
These guys and gals have all shown up twice, although some may reappear in future episodes.
- Kathy Baker is Mrs. DuBois, the unfortunate wife of the former living Mr. DuBois, who is still hanging about.
- Katie Kreisler is Melinda Bell, a woman who makes Allison a bit hot under the collar when she finds that Joe has been chatting with her after the work hostage situation aftermath.
- Jessy Schram played young Allison several times. She’s a singer, song writer and actress. Busy, huh?
- Thomas Jane plays Clay Bicks. I think it is so cute that Patricia Arquette has the whole family on the show at one time or another. When are we going to see that little girl of hers?
- Peggy Dunne has been on Medium twice, but as two different people. She went from engineer to shopper.
- Jennifer Lawrence is another guest actress who changed roles. She started as Claire Chase and just recently played young Allison.
- Stephen Stanton was the voice in Monkeyheads. Boy, does this man have an impressive resume!
- Oriana Oppice was Isabel Navarro, the girl who had I Will Survive pounding through Allison’s (and our) skulls for quite some time. This is the best episode to watch when you’re trying to wake up!
- Tiger Mendez was a prison guard and a guy chowing down in the cafeteria. Funny how some of these small roles have the same people showing up in them, huh?
- Annabelle Milne plays Cathy Croshaw in one episode and a friend in another.
- Wallace Langham appears twice as Alan.
- Elizabeth Lackey is Kamala in Medium, but has a much bigger role in Heroes.
- Rachel Miner has been Emilia ‘Lia’ Purcell and Leah.
- Dagmar Midcap seems to have made a guest appearance career as a reporter or anchor. Interesting that actors can be typecast even in guest roles, huh?
- Let’s give Tracy Ann Doss an identity, huh? She’s listed as wife in the IMDB credits!
Man, I’m Not Doing That Again!
For whatever reason, probably because they were dead and weren’t as persistent as Joe’s Dad, these guys and gals appeared in a single episode.
- Asher Book is Wyatt Forrester, a boy Ariel has a big crush on.
- Jordan Baker is Patty Chase, a mom who runs a dress shop.
- John Mese plays Ivan Kinetko. According to tv.com, he also was in American Gothic with Jake Weber. Have you ever seen that show? I saw a few episodes, but it confused me. Maybe I needed to start with the first episode?
- Alex Breckenridge plays Isabel in Jump Start.
- Anjul Nigam is the doctor who plays straight man to a hilariously funny Joe in Light Sleeper.
- John Shea played David Morrow in the creepy 3-D episode called Still Life.
- Nathan Wesdell plays Tyler Downey, a boy who Allison fears will become a mass murderer in Raising Cain.
- Lauren Velez plays Elena Cabrera, Scanlon’s old flame, in Knowing Her.
So, there you have it. Fifty people lucky enough to appear in one of the coolest t.v. shows ever.

Cool idea, Katelyn. There’s a lot of them that I don’t remember, like Troy Dubois. (Who was that?) But what a list! Wow! It would be kinda neat to list some of the more well-known stars who have guested on Medim, like David Carradine, Michael Gross, Nancy Travis, Rebecca Gayheart, and others.
Oh, and about Patricia’s family. I think that is so cool that she gets them involved and makes it a family project , because I’ve heard that it is a very family-oriented set, and I know family means a lot to her. Don’t forget about her brother Richmond who appeared in the second season, and according to GGC, there may be more appearances by Patricia’s siblings soon.
And about Patricia’s daughter being on the show, she actually has been, in the first season. She played Marie in one episode.
Maybe we’ll get to see her appear as a playmate for Marie next time. Ya think?
Great idea Katelyn – either that or you had a lot of time on your hands and nothing better to do! Ha Ha!
How did you ever find that info? It’s so difficult to find the guest stars names in the credits because they roll by so fast and I absolutely hate it on repeat shows on other networks when they shrink the credits so tiny you couldn’t see them if you had a magnifying glass handy! Obvioulsy the well known people are easy because you know who they are – it’s the lesser known people.
BTW, who was “Troy Dubois?” That one I don’t remember.
Don’t forget, the Deputy Mayor whom we all love to hate actually played a Texas Ranger in the Pilot episode and now is Deputy Doll!
Remember the guy running through the streets in only his underwear? The same episode as the cat lady from last season – can’t think of the ep name at the moment – anyway, underwear guy’s wife has been in more than one episode.
Wallace Langham is the annoying Hodges on the original CSI!
Betty,
I looked at cast lists for different episodes on different sites to pull it together. Underwear guy is now his official name!
Dawn,
I forgot about that appearance as Marie. It would be neat to have her play with Marie in an episode.
I wondered if you would remember that episode, Katelyn. She was so cute in that, wasn’t she? Even if it was a very brief appearance, lol.
It would be cool, wouldn’t it?
Underwear Guy!!! Lol!! He was great too. Who could forget him?!! Haha!
