Allison DuBois talks about the most important thing she wants you to know
November 13, 2009 by Kona Gallagher
CBS has been posting interview clips with the real Allison DuBois, who makes her living as a psychic medium. In this clip, she talks about what she calls “the most important thing” that she feels people should know about loved ones who have passed away. Often, she says, people beat themselves up for not being there when someone close to them dies, but DuBois says that it is important to know that they were not alone: When someone dies, they are already surrounded by a ring of people from the other side.
Yes, that’s a nice thing to believe. Who wouldn’t want to think that a loved one was surrounded by more loving people in their final moments? Is it true? I have no idea. I’m interested in seeing how many of you believe what DuBois is saying, and how many believe she just makes an interesting subject for a television show. So check out the video and take the poll below it!

I can’t see a poll, however last week there was the news story that police had spent a great deal of time and money on bogus claims from a psychic.

I guess I’m rather sceptical these days.
It is a comforting thought and I would love to believe it is true when people die they are surrounded by loved ones from the other side. I hope it is true but there is really no way of ANY of us living folks know that. Did I mention I am skeptical of psychics? I watch medium for fun. I think some psychics prey on people when they are in a desparate or vulnerable situation and tell them what they need to hear. Which may be okay to help someone as long as they are not making a profit off of it.
I believe it. People just don’t disappear when they die, they are in the afterlife waiting for you, waiting to welcome you with open arms. Now whether or not its a literal “ring” of loved ones, that’s debatable, but they are waiting for you. Everything you ever wanted to tell them, or thought they should know, they already know.
I look at Medium as science fiction and voted “no” on the poll. I’m open to all beliefs, though, and enjoy hearing about other people’s views because I am willing to change or modify my view about things.
Good ep tonight! Did NOT like the look of a “1″ on Lee’s head at the end of the preview, though … That rewind episode a few seasons ago where he was shot in the restaurant was enough for me–Don’t toy with my emotions, you sneaky Medium writers!
I believe her, without even seeing the interview. When my sister was dying, she didn’t really respond to my brothers an &, but seemed to be talking to our aunt, by name, who had died 20 years earlier.
