Glenn Gordon Caron and Joe and Allison DuBois discuss Medium’s beginnings

November 17, 2009 by Kona Gallagher

A couple of months ago, I shared a video of Medium Executive-Producer Glenn Gordon Caron interviewing about the origins of Medium, but now CBS has released a video with Joe and Allison DuBois chiming in. It’s kind of interesting, because Joe DuBois does most of the talking, and we really don’t get to hear from him too often.

He talks about the upheaval of their lives after Allison Dubois met Kelsey Grammer. Apparently, after she wrote her first book, Don’t Kiss Them Good-bye, she sent it to Grammer for a blurb… and the rest is history. After Medium began, Joe DuBois, who was actually an aerospace engineer, left his job to take care of their three daughters while Allison focused more on working. Basically, he still seems amazed by the turns their lives have taken, even six years later.

I just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for a really good show. A well written; stunningly acted show.

I have a horrible crush on Jake Weber. I wish he were my husband! I also wish he would call!! hahahaha!

Thanks again, please—don’t change and don’t go!
