I wonder if Jamie from last week’s episode is a member of TRAAAPD?

For those of you who haven’t seen it, Taylor Swift did a great job hosting SNL this past weekend. One of my favorite sketches was a PSA she did for TRAAAPD (Teens Raising Awareness About Awful Parent Drivers). In it, Swift decries all of the flack teens have been getting for texting while driving and similar offenses, when parents are the ones doing way worse things. Some examples: “driving while lecturing,” “driving while having a sarcastic conversation with the car in front of you,” and “driving while revealing family secrets.”

I’m sure Jamie would want to add, “driving while hopped up on pills and blaming the ensuing car crash on your innocent daughter” to that list. Or at the very least, “driving while hopped up on pills and blaming the ensuing car crash on your innocent daughter when the car you crashed into involves a family of psychics.” All very good reasons why maybe teens get a bad rap when it comes to driving.
