Open Mic/Discussion Thread for Medium 6×09 “The Future’s So Bright”
November 20, 2009 by Kona Gallagher
Hi guys, it’s that time again: we’re doing an Open Mic tonight at 9 PM EST. In this episode, Allison knows when you are going to die, and for Lee, it may be soon!
As always, I hope you can join us for the open mic, but if you can’t, feel free to use the comment section of this post as a discussion thread. I want to hear your thoughts on the episode!

Whata excellent episode! I loved the story line, it would have been even cooler at the end if she looked in the mirror with the glasses on to see her own number. Then Joe could be like, what did you see? and all Allison would say “Nothing, I didn’t look.” But in reality, she did look and its lower than expected, foreshadowing some future events. That would have been cool.
The ratings are going to stink for this excellent episode. I had to DVR it myself (silly movie opening) but Dec 4th looks pretty cool–with bio-terrorism and all. I liked your comment Michael.
Yeah excellent episodei love the storyline and the beggining was amazing i love when Joe’s father guest star and a surprise for me Mitch pillegi (walter skinener The X files) guest star i consuder myselft a very devoted Dreamer ( medium fan) and a XPhile ( x file fan) hahhah i can wait till dec 4 is going to be COOL with all that about bio genesis virus etc….
Is it just me or is every cop in Phoenix Arizona dirty? It seems that Allison, Devalos and Scanlon are not only taking on the drug gangs and the murders but now half of Phoenix police department too.
This was an excellent episode, probably the best one of the season so far.
I loved the storyline with the sunglasses, and the drug gang. Good ending too!
I really enjoyed this episode. Loved the story with the days til death sunglasses. Poor Scanlon stayed home since Allison told him his days were numbered. At least he listens to her and it saved his life. It was a good ending with that detective having his days numbered . At least Allison tried to warn him.
Great writing and Great acting I really enjoyed it.
This was an excellent episode. The sunglasses and the numbers gave it that extra creepy vibe. Loved the scene when Allison was in the bathroom and started to put the glasses on and look into the mirror. That would have been cool. Mike’s comment was good too. That would have given the show something to play off of in future episodes.
Loved this ep, though.
Great episode! I agree it was the best of the season so far. I really got into it with the creepy sunglasses that told you how many days you have left! Great storyline. Keep em coming!
lol Kieran about all the cops being dirty. I was thinking that, too. Great ep!
A contest was advertised on CBS. Part of the prize is to meet the real woman behind the show (Medium). “Real woman behind the show” is a vague term, so that term could apply to more than one person. I believe the viewers interpreted this to mean the real psychic who worked on the crimes depicted in Medium. I am the real psychic who worked on or spontaneously had dreams about the crimes depicted in season one through season five. I can’t talk about season six as a whole because I haven’t seen all of the episodes, nor has that season been broadcast in its entirety yet. I was never told that any other psychics worked on the crimes portrayed in the first five seasons. I worked on those crimes between 1982 and 1984.
Here are a few facts. The episode “In Sickness and Adultery” depicts the killing of Washington, D.C. police officer Donald Luning on September 14, 1982. This episode shows scenes from my real life and scenes from my dreams.
“Coded” depicts the kidnapping of Sara Krause from Washington, D.C. Again, this episode shows scenes from my real life and my dreams. I began having dreams about her in 1983. The authorities thought she was dead until I had dreams that she was still alive. According to Randy Bailin, the investigator who consulted me, she was found alive in a house on Castle Drive in North Chevy Chase, Maryland.
No one has made arrangements for the prize winner to meet me, so it appears that the winner won’t. When the winner finds out that he or she didn’t meet the real psychic who worked on the crimes depicted in Medium, I believe he or she will feel cheated.
I am on Facebook.
