Press Release for Medium 6×07 “New Terrain”
November 3, 2009 by Kona Gallagher
Well, it looks like the DuBois family chose not to listen to us, and Allison’s cell phone use finally caused a car crash. Okay, not really. It seems like a teenage driver caused it, but the fact remains, Allison is involved in yet another car accident in this week’s episode of Medium. I swear, she has the driving record of Lindsay Lohan right about now.
This is also another episode that involves a bank robbery, which also seems to happen a lot in Phoenix. Although, is it just me, or do bank robberies actually seem to be happening a lot everywhere? I live in pretty quiet town, and it seems like there’s a bank getting robbed here every week. Anyway, here’s what we can expect on the next episode:
- WHEN ALLISON’S CAR IS DAMAGED, THE SUV SHE RENTS HAS SOME UNUSUAL FEATURES, INCLUDING A RADIO THAT LETS HER LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLE’S CONVERSATIONS, ON “MEDIUM,” FRIDAY, NOV. 6
Guest Stars Include Faith Prince (“Huff,” “Spin City”) as Lauren Portman, Whose Daughter, Jamie, Causes the Damage to Allison’s Car, and Todd Louiso (“High Fidelity”) as Suspected Bank Robber Troy Sanborn
“New Terrain” – When Allison’s car is wrecked, the SUV she rents turns out to have some unusual features, including a satellite radio that allows her to hear other people’s conversations, on MEDIUM, Friday, Nov. 6 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Kona, in the teaser from last week’s episode, it looked Ariel was the one driving the car when the accident happened. Maybe I was mistaken. But that’s what I thought I saw. Anyway, let’s not blame this one on Allison just yet, lol! It didn’t actually say Allison was in an accident anyway. It said her car was. C’mon, give her a break already!
Oh, anybody want to place a bet on what kind of car Allison rents this week. With all the GMC promotion, and the commercials that have been airing during Medium for their new SUV, the Terrain, and the title of this episode, it kinda makes me think she might be driving a GMC Terrain, lol!
But truthfully, I hoped we would never see Medium stoop to this kind of product placement. But if it pays the bills and keeps the show on the air, then let ‘em have at it. The more, the better, if that’s what it takes.
Sounds like a good episode.
Anyone else ready for Allison to ditch the Volvo already? I think it’s high time the Dubois’ family invested in a new ride. Joe always seems to have a very new SUV – a jeep – but Allison’s been driving that old Volvo forever.
It would be nice if for once Allison could find a car that didn’t talk to her or lead her to murder scenes!LOL!
Betty, I think Joe’s been driving the same Jeep since the show started, hasn’t he? Remember it was the one that Bridgette’s teacher smashed the window in season 3, I think.
I liked that Mercedes that Allison drove in the “How To Make a Killing in Big Business” episode last year. Now THAT was a sweet ride! But I have to agree that the Volvo is getting a little tired. I’d like to see her with a shiny new car too. And not one that leads her to murder scenes or talks to her about crimes. Mine talks to me, but it doesn’t tell me about crimes that are gonna happen, lol! Thank goodness!
Dawn, if I’m not mistaken, Joe used to have a green jeep and now it’s a kinda of pewter color and looks newer.
I could so see Allison in a hybrid.
Joe needs to get off his duff and invent a solar powered car! Ha!
Ashley’s back, she’s more regular than Hannah in friend appearances these days.
I love High Fidelity, although prefer the book, I’ve read all of his novels, going to see his first screenplay film this weekend.
The writer of this episode does not look familiar to me.
I thought Joe had the same car, I don’t pay any attention to csrs though. Can the family afford a fancy new one though? Allison will need a new cell phone too!
I agree with them who says that Allisons need to get an headset and a new volvo. Mayby a Saab? (Could be fun with another swedish car, haha) no,but eventhough she likes it, it ait safe enough, she need a new one, safer one. Oh, High Fidelity. Love that movie, not becuse it good, cus it’s sucks. But I love the relationship between the maincharacter. Iben Hjejles and John Cusack. And I think Ibens english is really good cus she is from denmark, and I don’t hear the danish accent, mayby u american does? The danish and swedish accent is almost the same.
and bout medium, can’t wait for the episode next week, more Ariel scenes. And I hope more Allison-Ariel scenes! Cant wait!
