Press Release for Medium 6×09 “The Future’s So Bright”
November 16, 2009 by Kona Gallagher
This week’s episode looks super-creepy. Allison has developed photo-sensitivity, so she has to walk around wearing sunglasses at all times. When she does, she sees numbers on peoples’ heads that seem to correspond to the number of days they have left to live. That’s creepy enough, but what’s awful is that she sees Lee with a “1″ on his forehead. Uh-oh.
It looks like a spooky episode, and Tom Verica from American Dreams is guest-starring, and I’m a big fan of his.
WHEN ALLISON’S EYES BECOME SENSITIVE TO LIGHT, THE SUNGLASSES SHE WEARS DISPLAY NUMBERS THAT MIGHT REVEAL PEOPLE’S LIFE EXPECTANCIES, ON “MEDIUM,” FRIDAY, NOV. 20
Guest Stars Include Tom Verica (“American Dreams,” “Central Park West”) as Police Detective Aaron Carver, and Mitch Pileggi (“The X-Files,” “Stargate: Atlantis”) as Dan Burroughs, the Founder of the Company for Which Joe Works

This episode reminds me a tale by an italian author: a man buy a pair of sunglasses in an oriental shop, in Milan, but when he wears it, he sees skeletons, if the people are near to dead. The tale finish in a bad way, because he kills himeself when he sees his skeleton into the mirror.
I’ve see the promo photos, that sunglasses are horrible!!
Sara, that sounds like a great story! Do you know the title?
I’m looking forward to this episode, and am super curious to see what plays out in relation to the “1″ on Lee’s head. I am assuming this is the part of the plot that Alison has misinterpreted(!?!?!)
Also, I love Mitch Pileggi from X Files, Stargate, etc. He’s on my sexy bald men list.
Oh My God Mitch Pileggi (A.D Walter Skinner)is guest starting Wow I Love
The X files, and see him in my othey favorite Tv show Medium is going to be the BOMB I can’t WAIT
The title reminds me of the Orange company slogan, well former – they changed it last year.
I’m very worried for Lee after the promo. The thing that most excites me about this episode is another untimely visit from Joe’s dad. I love him, he’s my favourite recurring guest star, ghost or alive, even ahead of Captain Push!
This next episode looks good! I too am curious about why Lee has 1 day left!
The book is “Le notti difficili” by Dino Buzzati (1971). This book collect 51 tales. In English the title was translate in “Restless night”.
Sounds like a great episode. Reminds me a little of the one from Season 4 where Allison is in the restaurant with Scanlon and he gets shot – bet then she’s able to avert that actually happening.
We can’t lose our beloved Lee!
