NBC Revamps Medium Site for Season Four

If you didn’t catch Holly’s comment, you may not know that NBC has updated the Medium site. They have a recap of last year from fans, a chance to watch the final three head episodes of last year and a preview. Nice job, NBC!

I saw the new page at NBC and it looks fantastic! Great job, NBC! It took ‘em long enough, didn’t it? But I really like the new look. It’s kind of creepy, but really cool. Wicked cool! Can’t wait to see what other kind of stuff they’re gonna add. I’m glad to see they’re finally giving Medium the proper treatment and promotion it deserves. But with virtually no other new shows on, they really have no choice, do they? All of a sudden a show that had (seemingly) fallen by the wayside and was in danger (supposedly) of cancellation is now the Little Show that Could, and probably one of the few bright spots in the net’s winter schedule.

Irony is wonderful, ain’t it?

Yes, if the writers strike has done one good thing it is making NBC pay more attention to Medium. When most of your shows are in reruns, almost anything new looks great. Perhaps with all of the promotion plus the fact that it is one of the few new things on, Medium will get some good numbers when it starts up again on the seventh. Maybe waiting until midseason was a blessing is disguise. If it had come out with all the other shows it might have gotten brushed to the side and then disappeared when it ran out of shows. I can almost predict that is what will happen with other shows.

All of this considered, I still hope all of this strike business ends soon (even though I know it probably won’t). I’m going to need more than nine episodes to tide me over!

And yes, the new website looks wonderful. I just went over there on a whim one day and saw that it had been re-done. The videos are superb and the teaser they gave us from the first episode was absolutely cruel. You can’t stop there… need more!! Well, until the seventh (which incidentally is my first day back at school after break–I hope I will be able to stay up).

That thud you heard was me falling on the floor when I read here that NBC actually updated it’s Medium webpage! I can’t beleive it! They barely kept it up at all last year. Guess it pays to be one of the only scripted shows NBC has ready to go for at least 9 weeks with new eps!
