If you want to find out more about Allison DuBois, there is a very long profile in The Phoenix News Times on her. The Daily Grail felt the article was pretty biased against her.
I think the reporter was trying to take a topic that is controversial and emotional and make it as newsy as possible, but she did end up with a bit of bias coming through. While Irwin does seem to have made a real effort to talk to people to verify things and she seemed genuinely interested in Allison’s life and family, she inserts things like, “She was right about just two things.” To me, that little word “just” belongs in an opinion piece, not a news profile.
