b5media Wants YOU
Are you a Medium fan? Would you like to be a problogger? Can you put sentences together with good grammar and punctuation, all the while conveying your message and perhaps a little humor? Then B5MEDIA WANTS YOU. Yes, YOU!
b5media is looking for a new blogger to take over Medium Dreams effective May 1st. I cannot help but think one of you loyal readers would be excellent for the job.
The quick-witted among you will realize this announcement means I am leaving. Yes, it is sad but true. My last post will go up April 30th. But do not be too sad. How far can I go with no other blogs devoted to Medium out there to haunt?
I suppose you are wondering why I am leaving. That reason is time: there is not enough of it in my life right now. I could continue here at Medium Dreams but it would not be my best effort and you deserve better than that. Better to step aside and let someone else go forward with enthusiasm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Love for all things Medium
- Ability to do episode recaps
- Nose for digging up spoilers and news
- Good at handling images
- Knowledge of Photoshop or photo editing is a plus
- Knowledge of Wordpress is a plus
- Comfortable learning new technologies (though current knowledge not required)
DUTIES:
- Minimum 6 posts per week, but more to do justice to the site
- Promotion to other sites, or to the show contacts: 20-30% of the week’s time
- Updating episode list, episode summaries, and calendar: 5%
- Open Mic Night: 5-15%, depending on your participation throughout the day
- Gathering information: reading feeds, research, searching for pictures & videos: 30%
- Writing: 20-40%

I will definitely be around, except perhaps for one week in May when my sister is in town and we will spend all of our waking moments doing chores at our elderly mom’s house. It is an annual ritual. But I can always squeeze in Open Mic Night!

I’ll miss reading your entries Sheila, but I know how tough the extra work can be, so I understand why you are moving on. You should be proud of what you have done here though, there is a lot of good information ready for whoever takes over.
