Own a piece of Medium history and help Haiti at the same time
February 8, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
If you’ve never heard of the charity “Clothes off Our Back” before, it’s a wonderful organization to which celebrities donate costumes, red carpet apparel, props and other items in order to be auctioned off for charity. Now, Medium is getting in on the deal. Right now, you can own a jacket and a necklace that Patricia Arquette wore in an episode of Medium.
The tan suede Elie Tahari jacket is paired with a chunky layered necklace. The jacket definitely looks familiar, but if any of you can place it to an episode, please hit me up in the comments.

Review: Medium 6×14 – Will the Real Fred Rovick Please Stand Up?
February 7, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
I’ve long thought that Diedrich Bader was an excellent comedic actor; his role as the lovable redneck neighbor in Office Space cemented that for me about a decade ago, but unfortunately, he’s just one of those actors who doesn’t get nearly enough work. Hopefully, his role in this episode of Medium will change all that.
Bader played around a dozen characters this week, and moreso than just relying on costumes, he took pains to make each one an individual person. When he was in the kitchen with Allison as Joe DuBois, Bader nailed the slightly hunched way Joe walks around the …read more
Promo for Medium 6×14 – Will the Real Fred Rovick Please Stand Up?
February 4, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
CBS has released the promo for this week’s Medium episode, “Will the Real Fred Rovick Please Stand Up.” One major thing struck me in watching this video: Allison’s hair is getting long! When she attended the Golden Globes, I was wondering where that short bob came from, because there had been very little indication of that on the show. Now, however, you can definitely see it starting to appear. Likewise, Ariel’s hair has gotten longer as well– it’s nearly shoulder-length.
But, beyond haircuts, the episode looks pretty awesome: Allison keeps seeing a killer’s face, and even sees it in place of Joe. …read more
Patricia Arquette is willing to kill for a True Romance sequel
February 3, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
Patricia Arquette recently joined actor Elijah Wood, comedian Nick Kroll, and her True Romance co-star Christian Slater in a Funny Or Die video. The video, called “Nine Lives,” follows a man (Kroll), who dies and is reincarnated several times. Kroll comes back as some pretty interesting things, including a mustache, a dartboard and a woman. While Arquette only makes a small appearance at the end, it is amazing.
I don’t want to get into too many details about it, because it’s really funny, but suffice it to say, the fact that Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette are both in the video …read more
Review: Medium – Psych
February 1, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
While Lee and Devalos were only small players in this week’s episode, the DuBois family was front-and-center. We saw a lot of what’s a fairly typical dynamic in the DuBois household: Joe and the girls are left to pretty much figure things out for themselves while Allison is absorbed in a big case. In this instance, Bridgette thinks she has her first crush, and it’s big sister Ariel to whom she confides, instead of Allison.
While ideally, Allison would be around, I like the fact that Medium shows what becomes a typical event in a household in which either both parents …read more
Sofia Vassilieva talks about joining the Stand Up To Cancer campaign
January 30, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
Sofia Vassilieva recently joined the Stand Up For Cancer campaign, which both Patricia and her Sister Rosanna Arquette have done work for. Vassilieva says that she was inspired to get involved with the charity after playing a cancer patient in My Sister’s Keeper, and seeing the resilience of young cancer patients first-hand.
According to the video, Stand Up To Cancer has raised over 100 million dollars in just under two years of existence. You can watch Vassilieva’s interview, as well as another PSA featuring such stars as Renee Zellwegger and Rob Lowe, below.
Here’s a bizarre video of Patricia Arquette being eaten by a monster
January 28, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
When I was looking for SAG Award stuff on YouTube the other day, I stumbled onto a behind-the-scenes video of Patricia Arquette shooting her first-ever film role, Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. I’ve never seen the movie myself, so I don’t exactly know the context of what we’re seeing, but suffice it to say, Patricia Arquette is getting eaten by a really horrible looking monster.
While at one point, it’s clear that they’re using a dummy, there is definitely a point in which her bottom half is completely inside this latex monster. It’s pretty creepy– not to mention weird …read more
Promo for Medium 6×13 – Psych
January 27, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
The promo is out for this week’s episode (which was supposed to be last week’s episode), and at 11 seconds, it’s little more than a teaser. However, it’s quite a teaser indeed. Check out this line that Allison says,
“I wanted to convince the world that she wasn’t a killer, and all I did was convince her to become one.”
Okay, I’m in. You can watch the video below:
Video of Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane at the SAG awards
January 26, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
There’s been a lot of talk about Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane at the SAG awards. Although she’s had many great looks in the past, Arquette has been slammed by fashion critics pretty routinely in the past few years. While I didn’t care much for her Golden Globes ensemble, I actually kind of liked the green shimmery frock she chose for the SAG Awards this past weekend.
Dresses have a tendency to look different on video than they do in photos, so when I saw this video of Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane walking the red carpet, I was impressed with …read more
Patricia Arquette explains her Pee-Wee connections
January 25, 2010 by Kona Gallagher
As we saw earlier, Patricia Arquette attended the opening of the new Pee Wee Herman Show in Los Angeles with her husband, Thomas Jane, and her brother, David Arquette. They were all interviewed on the red carpet, and I learned a lot of facts about them that I had never known.
For instance, Jane and David Arquette were both in Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Paul Reubens, so they’ve all known each other for quite some time. In fact, it was Reubens who turned Arquette into a vampire in the film. The trio reunited in 2006, when David Arquette directed The Tripper, …read more
