Medium Episode 2.21 Death Takes a Policy Rerun Open Mic
We’re back to 11 pm on Lifetime’s Medium reruns, so I think I’ll be able to stay awake for “Death Takes a Policy” which originally aired in May 2006. This is the episode where Kelsey Grammar is roaming around as Death. Doesn’t freak Allison out AT ALL, does it? Oh yes, it does! And no wonder.

Oooh, I LOVE this episode! Patricia’s performance in this one is reeeaaally good and Kelsey Grammer as the Angel of Death is great! My favorite scene is when Allison is telling Joe about her near-miss and she’s almost hysterical. That was great stuff! And he’s trying to convince her that it’s all in her mind. Well, duh! But seriously, when will he learn to just take her at her word and not try to discount everything she sees? But even when he’s being skeptical, he’s still so supportive of her. I love that. I love the way he comforts her when she breaks down. So sweet, and so strong and supportive. I want a Joe too!

That conversation about the will is hysterical. Especially when she says,”What about the kids?” and Joe says, “I’ll throw them in, too.”

And then when Joes says she’d have a sign if it was her time to go, like a dream or something. I would have turned into a total loon at that point!

Lol, Katelyn! Me, too! And Joe’s “you’re trying to kill me” was pretty funny too!

Okay, that vision would REALLY freak me out if I saw someone with a wall of fire behind them.

Oh, crap! That’s one of those “if the truck don’t kill ya, the heart attack will” moments. I would have probably died from fear right then.

Okay, who died?
Joe knows how to get right to the point of things, doesn’t he?

Isn’t Joe always the voice of reason? He’s so calm and collected even when Allison is freaking out.

This is probably Patricia’s best performance from season 2. This scene is great, and she is so awesome in this one.

Allison is using her gut this time instead of her gift. She’s a pretty smart cookie.

One can only hope.
Yeah, Mom, can he drive me to work?
Joe looks so thrilled. Lol.

The enemies of Death are Luck and Hope. Not true, by the way. I’m good friends with both.
Creepy.

That’s so sad, all those sick people.
Uh-oh, he’s giving Allison a scary look. I think I’d freak out too.

Did you know that the average bathroom is one of the most perilous places on earth?
Thanks for the tip, Death.

“You can’t stop the inevitable, Allison.” Creepy little smile and then, “Why not hurry it along, instead?”

Racquetball playing, and the claim to have played racquetball, both have been decriminalized in Arizona for quite some time.
Great line!

Isn’t it weird how Ariel started getting those e-mails just when Allison starts investigating the doctor’s death?
Those writers are so clever.

That must be so frustrating for the DA to know that someone is guilty but not be able to prove it, or to see justice done.

You really should be quite pleased with yourself. You’ve chosen a spectacular place to die.

What a cool episode and creepy at the same time!
Don’t you just love the way Allison is having a rather, um, heated, “discussion” with Scanlon and then has the nerve to ask him to take her to pick up her kids at school? What a great guy - such a push over! He’s really just a big teddy bear for all the tough talk.
Don’t you love the way Scanlon was shocked to hear Allison talking about the condoms or condom wrappers and who the good doctor was meeting? Love that discussion in the car. “Horizontal Mambo”! Gotta love Scanlon!
