For All The Lurkers Out There
Darren at Problogger recently told bloggers how to get more comments on your blog. One of his suggestions was to set boundaries in the form of a comment policy. “Hey!” I thought, “I don’t have one of those!”
In the spirit of sharing, also known as blatantly stealing from a fellow blogger, I hereby adopt Darren’s excellent Problogger comment policy as my own for Medium Dreams until such time that I actually post one here…which will look remarkably like Darren’s over there…so I’m wondering, “Why bother?”
Anyway, here is a quick rundown of the Medium Dreams comment policy. Click over to Problogger for an expanded discussion of each item:
- I love comments
- I delete spam
- I encourage you to leave relevant links in comments
- I discourage irrelevant links
- I allow signatures in comments
I have not actually tested out that last one, so if you try to leave a comment with a signature and have a problem, please do let me know. I will have the b5 tech geniuses make it all better posthaste.
Did Darren I leave anything out? Are there any other do’s or don’t you can think of? What would make you feel the uncontrollable need to leave a comment? Anything? Or are you just a happy lurker?
