Your week in weird, and other Medium-related gossip:
- BOOB WARS: Well maybe”small skirmish” is a better description. Doctors of Pop Culture compares Patricia Arquette’s boob dress with Gwen Stefani in the same outfit. Her boobs are less apparent. Nonexistent by comparison, really.
- The Guardian UK’s CHARLIE BROOKER RANTS ABOUT PSYCHICS (”All Psychics Must Die Alone In Windowless Cells”), creationism, and Hellman’s mayonnaise. In that order.
- GET THEE HENCE, SATAN: Paul Grifitts reviews “The Medium” and decides it “is an attempt by the writers to soft sell a spiritual evil.” I cannot find a date on this article other than 2006, and he is reviewing an old episode (MED-004-Night of the Wolf), but I include it for “look at the weirdo” purposes. It never fails to amaze me how seriously some people take fictional TV. I wonder if he has also reviewed “The Supernatural,” “The Ghost Whisperer,” and “The Heroes.” I wonder what he does on October 31st.
- HAPPY 503rd BIRTHDAY, NOSTREDAMUS!
- There’s a new website in town: STOP SYLVIA BROWN, for those who wish to, well, stop Sylvia Brown, a woman who claims to be a “true psychic medium” (via MondoSkepto)
- And while we’re on the subject, apparently SYLVIA BROWN SCREWED UP ON NATIONAL TV. I cannot bring myself to watch the video. Seeing stupid people do stupid things makes me uncomfortable. Please watch the video yourself and report back immediately.
- GHOSTHUNTINGMOBILE FOR SALE
- URI GELLER’S REALITY TV SHOW doing well in Israel
- The REAL ALLISON DUBOIS PROVEN WRONG over her predictions about Arizona’s Baseline Killer
