Green Stone of Healing Books One to Three Giveaway
Author C.L. Talmadge sent sets of books one to three of her Green Stone of Healing series for me to give away to three lucky Medium Dreams readers. The Vision, Fallout and The Scorpions Strike follow the adventures of Helen Andros and her father as they fight against a regime bent on destroying anyone who doesn’t support its beliefs. Helen has a stone that has healing properties and a background as a tough military doctor. Not enough for you? She was under the impression that she was an orphan, but her father is very much alive.
Talmadge has received quite a few positive reviews for this fantasy adventure series. When she isn’t writing about The Green Stone of Healing, she is a syndicated political columnist.
So, want to win a set? Leave a comment on this post telling me what you’d do with a stone that had healing power. Would you help anyone? Exclude terrorists and dictators? Charge a fee? Require people to come to you? Hire a team to screen people seeking your help?
On September 30th, I’ll use random.org to draw three winners from the comments and will ship the sets to the winners. Only people over 18, please.

I’d love to win! I’d also love to have a healing stone to heal myself and any of my family or friends first who need healing, then I’d move on to the general public. I guess the only charge would be for administrative expenses - you know if it was necessary to have an office and a staff - something reasonable, like $25 or so. I think I should start with children who have cancer.

I have studied healing for years and work in a hospital. If I were to win the green (the color of healing) healing stones I would use them to continue my healing mission and in continued study of Healing Touch. This is a form of alternative energy healing that always makes me feel as if I have received more than I have given. Thanks, Rebecca

You know that the minute it came out that you had this healing stone, you would be so inundated with requests and unexpected supplicants, not to mention people with lesser motives, that you’d barely have a chance to do anything good with it. The only way would be to keep the stone secret as long as you could while trying to heal people as you met them.

Oh how I wish that I had a healing stone. I would love to be able to heal all that are ill and suffering and take the pain away. A dear friend of mine just found out that she has cancer and I would use the stone to heal her. After I healed everyone else then I would try and heal my own illness if the stone had any powers left.

If I had a healing stone, I think I would cure all who are living with AIDS.
…thinking about it more, it would be hard to just heal one illness…..I’d just heal everyone that I could…broken hearts, broken minds, arthritis, AIDS, cancer……..

After reading some of the comments, I noticed only one had any real idea of what might happen if a healing stone really existed. It would be impossible to openly set out to heal–you would be inundated with pleading families, have many angry with you if you couldn’t get to their loved ones in time, bombarded with those who wanted to make a monetary killing off of you. I applaud those who would want to selflessly heal everyone, since that is definitely the best choice, but just healing disease would not cure the ills of the world. I read another book about a stone of this type, and the hero ended up throwing it into the sea, after several instances of both the good and the bad of such an item. I am afraid the only way it could be used with any chance of safety for the owner and family would be to do it very quietly and in very widespread locations. This is painful to say, since there are several instances in my own family where I would have loved to have something like this available, but reality does have to set in sometimes.

I’d love to have the power to heal people. If I had a healing stone, I’d travel around the world (if the money was available) healing people without their knowing it. If I could just touch or hug someone, and they could be healed without them knowing, then I would be very happy. And I wouldn’t charge. Having the stones would be payment enough.

I would stop myself from having seizures and then I would help others who needed the same , it is a very misunderstood, understudied, and sometimes problem that people make fun of. I would not charge people, I would just want to help people.

Because of the potential for turmoil, I’d have to establish myself as a janitor — with a secret benefactor’s trust fund paying my travels around the country to childrens’ hospitals. “What price to heal the world and lose your soul” would have to be a sub-theme; the reality of preserving the stone for the future would collide with the perils of human feelings and indiscriminate usage, and the responsibility would make the holder crazy after awhile — so ultimately I would seek to establish and then involve a chain of people, seemingly random, selected to use it for awhile then ‘lose it’ to the next holder. Brings new depth and meaning to the concept of establishing a faith-based organization for the sake of a long-term goal…

If I had a stone with healing powers, I would set up a high-security museum type building, and have people brought in with guards to touch it. Children and people with severe illnesses would be given front of the line passes. And of course it would be wheelchair accessible. Thanks for the great giveaway!

As a cover and to finance my work with the healing stone, I would create a not-for-profit organization to visit the very ill to being them gifts. This would give me the chance to heal them in secret without their knowing. As many others have said, it would be impossible to heal everyone. Besides, if all illness was conquered, the world would soon be completely overpopulated. But it would be a lovely gift to have the ability to travel the world and touch as many lives as possible.

My first thought was to heal my own aches and pains that age is bringing. Then I thought of all my family and friends who have illness or severe pain. But I agree with some of the other comments. If you choose to use the stone it would have to be done in secret. And secondly I would not choose to stop death because that is a part of the life we have. But I would like to give children a longer life and relieve pain for everyone.

I would give this stone to my sister, who is on hospice and dying from lymphoma cancer. It’s just terrible to watch someone who wants to live so bad fade away. Plus, she’s in so much pain. All her bones ache terribly. She’s had so many problems in her life, but it seemed, with a new job, new home, and a new life, that things were looking up for her. This is really hard on her children, and her grandchildren. And, she’s only 59!

This is a tough question. I’m wondering if the stone would heal such things as autism, ADHD and similar things. In any event, I know that having such a stone would be too much for me to handle. Playing with the lives of people and choosing who lives a healthy life and who suffers and/or dies? No, thanks!
