Halloween is approaching fast, so I thought it was time to resurrect this Halloween poll:

I actually don’t even buy candy anymore. My house is across from a school and a church, so I am not surrounded by houses, after buying a bunch of candy one year and not having any trick or treaters come, I just keep my lights off now so I won’t be bothered by stragglers. I used to decorate and all that, now I just don’t seem to be able to find the energy.

Honestly, I never cared for Halloween. As a HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) I found that time of year less fun and more sadistic with the passing years. Disturbing images and the bizzare behavior from adults have totally turned me off. Some folks treat it like Mardi Gras.

The Mexican culture, Day of the Dead is far superior in terms of purpose and meaning. Here in the U.S. we are giving honor to what with Halloween?

I say retire the day altogether- it’s stupid.
