Harlow Is Not Going to be a Child Actress
According to PR Inside, Harlow will not be appearing in a movie near you anytime soon. Patricia Arquette said she’s not allowing Harlow to be a child actress because of the danger of being in the artificial atmosphere of Hollywood, where all of that fame, fortune and glamor makes people lose their grip on reality.
I can’t say I’m surprised, since she’s seen what happens to a lot of child stars. After giving advice to some of the young stars that are so messed up, she obviously took it a step further and decided to protect her child from becoming the next Lohan or Spears. Way to go, Patricia Arquette!

One must applaud her common sense - especially coming from a family of actors - I seriously doubt if Harlow ever expressed a desire to act, her Mom would turn her down, but I can certainly see that she does not want to push her into that direction. For some crazy reason, Nicle Richie thought when she named her new daughter “Harlow” she was the only one - where has she been? Under a rock?
Courtney Cox was on Regis & Kelly and talked a bit about the papparizi and how on Valentine’s Day, David went out to his car and there were baloons on it and when he went to move them, the papparazi jumped out and took his photo and told him to tell Courtney they were for her and they love her! That must be very scary to have people jumping out from behind cars and bushes all the time - I can see why some celebs use bodyguards.

I’m glad to see that Patricia is firm about protecting her daughter from that crazy world. Her sister Rosanna has also talked about protecting her daughter from that world as well, and not letting her act until she reaches a certain age. I’m sure that when Harlow reaches the age to make her own choices, that her mother will support her in whatever she does, but it’s good that Patricia will not be pushing her to enter that world.
Betty, I read that article about Nicole Richie too. She really is an airhead, and she must have been under a rock all this time to not know that Patricia’s daughter was also named Harlow. (And can I just say I love that name?)
I didn’t see Courteney on Regis & Kelly, but I did see her on Letterman, and she was talking about protecting her daughter from that as well. Though I don’t see her being as strict as Patricia about it, I think she would probably keep Coco away from it as long as she could too. I also read what she said about the paparazzi and it is realy insane how out of control those people have gotten. It’s time the officials, esp. in California, crack down on those guys and protect not only celebrities, but innocent bystanders as well.

Katelyn, since you brought up Harlow, I just have to share this with everyone. Jen at Thomas Jane’s forum found this adorable post with the sweetest pictures of Harlow outr shopping with her daddy. And she is the cutest little thing!! If you thought she was getting big when we saw her last year, check out these pictures. She’s looking practically all grown up now. and so gorgeous!! It’s hard to decide who she looks more like, her mom or her dad.

Oh my, Harlow is looking all grown up and ready for school! They get big so fast!
Dawn, Courtney has said that one reason she is doing her program “Dirt” is partly because of the out-of-control papparrazi - if you ever watch the show, they do some outrageous stuff to get the story and the pics! In one episode, her photographer, Don (who happens to be bi-polar) actually cut off his own finger in a van door so he could be on the same hospital floor as some celebrity so he could get the pic! He’s also hung out in trees and camped out in parking garages - in the first ep of this season, Courtney’s character nearly caused an accident just so Don could get the pic of the person driving the other car! They are relentless!
Wonder what has caused them to become so unscrupulous in recent years? Yes, I like to see pics of my favorite TV and movie stars, but I really don’t have the need to see them in bandages just out of the plastic surgeon’s office or see their cellulite magnified 50 times, and I can really do without the “did they” or “didn’t they” have plastic surgery articles. I enjoy the nice posed shots of them looking well and happy far more than without make-up coming from the drug store! No one looks their best all the time, especially when they are sick. There’s plenty of opportunity to catch them on the red carpet or at official functions without having to hunt them down.
