10 opinions for Isn’t Lee too cute to be a druggy?

He’s the hottest thing going, and they have to know that he adds interest for the female viewers. The dark side just offers more depth and direction for the character. He’s just way too hot for “Deputy Doll” and needs a hotter love interest, or me … lol!

KC: Thank goodness he dumped DiNovi. Let’s see, they have already done the “gets back in touch with the love of his life then she dies at the end of the episode” storyline. Wouldn’t it be fun to meet his mother? Ooh, I hope we get to at some point and we see all the little quirks about her that ended up in him.

I don’t means to be mean, but I have a serious question. Why do so many people not like the Deputy Mayor Lynn DiNovi? I was watching an older episode of Medium recently with her in it, and she seemed perfectly fine to me. She plays her character well, in my opinion. Please fill me in on what I’m missing.

Holly: Heh. The more screen time Lynn DiJoseph gets, the more I notice that she is not of the same caliber as the other actors on the show. Arquette, Weber, Sandoval, and Cubitt are smooth and natural and relaxed. When DiJoseph comes on, I notice her acting. She seems wooden and stilted to me most of the time. Her timing is often off, too. I think if she were not working with such good actors, I probably wouldn’t notice it, but she is and she sticks out like a construction worker in a ballet class to me.

I really can’t stand the Deputy Mayor, and I agree with Sheila. I’m a heinous David Cubitt fan from back in the Traders (great Canadian show, get it on DVD) day, though, so I guess I’d only be happy if he’s shagging me. LOL. Still,

By the way, the actress who is DiNovi is married to the producer, Caron.

Thanks for filling me in! I’ll make sure to pay more attention next time she’s on screen.

Just a little PS I thought of later…it’s not that I really, really like her, it’s just I like what her character brings for Lee Scanlon. He’s the one I’m the true fan of. Perhaps I’m being fooled into liking her because of him. I don’t know. I guess I would be fine with him getting a new girl, the writers would just have to be really clever (just like they always are) in getting rid of her.

Holly: I don’t think you have to worry about DiNovi going anywhere. As Nansee noted, she is married to Glenn Gordon Caron, the show’s creator and executive producer. ::sigh::

I am so glad that other people don’t like “deputy doll” with Lee Scanlon! I have re-watched all of the eps from season 2 and the first three so far from season 1 - the actress playing deputy doll actually played a deputy in the pilot who took Allison to meet with the Texas Rangers! She’s a terrible actress! I hope Lee sticks to his guns and has nothing further to do with her. Actually, I love the chemistry between Lee and Allison and think he is really in love with Allison and would love to see Lee and Allison hook up - even if it’s not for good. That would be so cool! Joe just annoys me mostly. Allison could get pregnant with Scanlon’s baby for even more complications! I think it would take a dramatic event to get Scnalon and Allison together, but I could and would love to see that!

One more thing, if you re-watch the episode where Detective Scanlon was introduced, I think he really was flirting with Allison by the end - they come out of the apartment where he apprehended the guy responsible for his sister and others murder and he says, “I need a Drink, anyone interested?” Of course he’s looking at Allison and not the DA! Also if you re-watch some of the other eps from last year or this year, he always seems to hang on her every word.
