Medium Episode 2.19 “Knowing Her” Rerun Open Mic

by Katelyn on January 6th, 2008

david cubitt“Knowing Her” is the episode that originally aired April 24, 2006 and gives us a bit of a look into Scanlon’s past. The rerun airs at 11:00 p.m. EST on Lifetime. Since tomorrow night is the season 4 premiere open mic, maybe we should just make this a 24 hour party. Who wants to call in sick and spend all day tomorrow talking Medium?

Ah well, it was a nice thought, wasn’t it? Today I have Walker’s shortbread (love that stuff!) and a few nice Spanish wines we picked up the other day. I also have English Afternoon tea, Irish Breakfast tea and the standard Orange Pekoe. Heavy on drinks and light on refreshments, but I figure you’re all still stuffed from a month of partying, right?

And a bit of trivia to tide you over until 11 - who says, “Wow, first you gouge out my eyes; then you rip out my heart.” in this episode?

Not the Scanlon we all know and love, huh?

That is the grossest thing I’ve seen since ummm… the last time I watched Knowing Her. Those eyeless bodies are very icky.

Good morning. Or am I being hasty?

I so can not imagine swallowing a glove tip filled with drugs.

When he makes a bad choice, he really makes a bad choice. And we wonder why he’s dating his current girl? She’s probably completely the ex’s opposite.

Ariel is the saddest kid with a great grade I’ve ever seen. She knows that discrimination essay was discriminated against.

Ariel somehow makes it through a meeting with her teacher without letting on that she’s hearing both his thoughts and what he is saying. Tough for an adult, but a kid?

I forgot that there was an even grosser scene than the women with their eyes gouged out. Ick. The eyes themselves on Lee’s bedside table.

    We’ve got really special kids.
I had nothing to do with it. I wasn’t even in town that week.

Such a sad waste of lives and love.

To answer the trivia question, Lee says it to Allison as he enters the elevator. Such a dang cutie, our Lee is. Great episode; hope the new season has a Scanlon feature coming up! And yup, there she is, ol’ Dep Doll. Eeww.

Great pic Katelyn! Where did you find it?

Isn’t this just the greatest Medium episode ever? So many highs and lows and in betweens where do you start?

Bridgette sounds like my kids used to when they’d get home from school and call me at work telling me they were hungry - “well, there is some cheese, graham crackers, apples, etc.” “But I don’t want any of that stuff!” Oh, so easliy swayed by Disneyworld dad offering Mc’Donald’s French Fries instead of good, wholesome food.

Didn’t David Cubitt do a magnificent job in this ep? So cute. So many emotions to go through. Didn’t you love that exchange between him and Elena when they wake up in bed together? First she is stroking his face and he flinches and jerks away and says, “Save that stuff for someone you like” then she says, “I need a favor” and he replies icily, “I already did you a favor, now get your clothes on and get out!”

That’s a man for you - he’ll sleep with her, but doesn’t trust her. Remember this season in “We Had a Dream” when Deputy Doll used the key he was going to give her in “Four Dreams” and was sitting in his apartment waiting for him to come him and after a few words with each other, he tells her, “You can spend the night if you want, but I don’t want to talk about anything - not here, not now.” The only thing I like DD for when she replied, “Oh put your ego back in your pants!” Lee, Lee, Lee, we need to have a serious talk about he women you are willing to sleep with……

Eyes on the night table, gee there’s an image I could have done without…….

What a great job by David Cuibtt - if anyone deserved an Emmy for a role, David sure did for that performance!

Hey, I’ve got a Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate Cake for refreshments!

Gosh I can hardly believe today is the day for the new Medium!!!!! I am counting the hours - too bad I have to work tonight, but I’ve set BOTH VCR’s to make sure nothing goes wrong and I can watch it when I get home at midnight or 1 AM before I go to bed!!!!!
