Medium Episode 4.09 “Wicked Game” Open Mic
It’s almost time to watch Wicked Game Part One! I think I am too excited about it, but I can’t help myself. The previews just looked fantastic and it looks like we’ll see a new side of Cynthia Keener. (Plus the crayon drawing dream, which is really colorful…)
I have a new batch of rice pudding, still warm, from the famous recipe my brother coaxed from a talented cook. I could live on this stuff. It is sooo good. I also have hot tea, coffee, or blueberry juice. (Quite good, honest.) And if you’re into Easter candy, I overdid it at the half price sale today and I think I have some of every type of chocolate egg, bunny, or chick available, as well as those marshmallow peeps.

Joe isn’t fond of Cynthia, huh?
“Cynthia Keener. What could possibly give her a nightmare…other than Dorothy dropping a house on her.”

I just watched New Amsterdam, and am so psyched to see a new episode of Medium tonight! What Joe said was funny though. ;D

Greetings Katelyn,
Blueberry juice is just fine. I’ve already overdone the Easter candy. This looks like a good one. Joe serving eggs, yummy.

It would be cool to have a dad who could casually change out the light bulb for a boom box.

Yes…its awesome, and full of surprises I bet. I love when Joe caves in to the girls …he says “yeah that’s stupid”.

Joe at the unemployment office. I recognize the guy from the Cosby Show.

This guy is so enthusiastic about his job. I guess it is a depressing one. Unemployed people aren’t very happy.

Oh Hi Dawn!
I was distracted by the Joe sexy girl dream sequence. Did you notice the song that sounded like “Love on a Real Train” by Tangerine Dream? Whoo! LOL!
Looks like Joe will start an invention? Tan at night-interesting.

Why does a sadistic killer have to wear the cross? Unreal.

OmG..that was truly horrible. The one who was killed might have gotten away…if the basement door was open.

Sorry, I got distracted watching the ep. Man, I really feel sorry for Cynthia Keener. That must be so hard. And Allison looked so pained when she was in the basement.
Joe’s got a new invention idea, yea!! And wasn’t it cute when Ariel told Allison to “follow the obnoxiously loud music”? A teenager complaining about loud music, lol!
And weren’t Bridget and Marie so cute dancing?
Hi, Lena! I didn’t notice that music. The only thing I noticed was the Cyndy Lauper music.

WOW!
What a great ep. This is starting what will be a very intense 2 aprter, much like the 3 ending eps alst season. I understand Joe being upset with Allison, and I understand her not being willing to gamble the girl’s college fund…tough place, but she was not very supportive of Joe and in her own world…
The mystery with Cynthia’s daughter is being well played out, and with many startling scenes…wow..
I am excited to see where this goes..
Arquette needs any Emmy episode this season, stronger than “Do you Hear What I hear?”, to get a nom. I suspect there will be fireworks with her and Jake soon.

I am beginning to hate this series intensely. Always the wrong person dreamed of. Always the babas from Joe and what’s more: when you think that the issue will finally be resolved you see “TO BE CONTINUED” on the screen They should at least have the decency to announce in advance that it is a two episodes program so that one could program the tv recorder to record both and thus allowing to watch the whole thing once and without having to wait a week to find out the conclusion.

Uh, Bruno, hate to tell you this buddy, but we’ve known for weeks this was going to be a two-parter.
Good for Joe coming up with an invention! Use those brain cells! Wouldn’t it be funny if he got so rich off of this idea he could buy Aeroditech?
Poor Bridgette, I think she just figured out Dad is a mere mortal after all.
Anyone else bummed because they told us that Cynthia’s daughter is dead in the previews for next week? What an awful thing to have happen and feel so helpless.
There really are some twisted people in the world aren’t there?
Well, I was at work when this was on and didn’t watch my tape yet, so I can’t comment further at this point. Looks intriguing.

So this is practically one of my favourite seasons so far. I just love all this character development! It’s so ironic how Joe had dreams of the future, first the kids and now Joe! It’s so funny! It’s began to be me my mom and my sisters ritual to sit down every Monday night and figure out who stole the cookie from the cookie jar with popcorn.
My mom was able to put the pieces together about 20 minutes before it ended. I was so close to piecing it together, since we used the commercial break for our ideas. I actually thought the blonde haired girl was taken away right after the trip her and her mom had, though something as vivid as that wasn’t to have false information. Her dreams sometimes are misunderstood, but those are sketchy dreams. This one was obvious she was really seeing what was happening to them.
My mom mistakenly thought I was right, leading it into the fact that perhaps the blonde girl was in kahootz with the killer. I then thought, well… That place that they visited was the house of the 2 girls. It wasn’t recent, so it must have been back in 19 whatever. Then my sister remembered the news clip. It was obvious that if this girl was partner in crime with the killer, she’s done it before. What’s not to make her do it again. Then my mom just basically told us the rest of the puzzle in a 5 second story, and sure enough, it played out.
I love how involved we were able to get. I’ve definitely gotten better at solving the crimes than last season! I need to remember to come on and share it with you guys. :) Anywho, I’m off to bed. School tomorrow.

We don’t know that Joe’s dreams are of the future. I doubt it, frankly. For one thing that would be a little too deux ex machina…Too cute for the whole family to be psychic. It makes sense with the girls (especially since it’s based on a real family), but Joe? I say nay.
Luke
Mar 26, 2008 at 10:10 am
I didn’t exactly say that Joe was having dreams of the future, but you can see that Joe has different dreams relating to HIS job as an inventor.
It’s more like… Their dreams are… I can’t explain it.
Ariel has dreams about her classmates. Allison has dreams about literally anything. Joe has dreams about inventions.
It’s kind of the controversy between Allison and the rest of the family, how her persona is rubbing off onto them. Joe, of course, would naturally have a dream about his inventions. It just .. Suits him.

I think I understand you, but I don’t think it’s something that just rubs off. Even in the world of the show it’s treated as a gift, isn’t it? A genetic one, yes, but not one that just anyone can have.
But I do believe that even people who aren’t generally psychic (in the real world and the show world) can have “true” dreams from time to time, so it can be chalked up to that :-)
I wouldn’t bet my childrens’ college money on one of those dreams, though. Probably wouldn’t even bet it if it was the more reliable Allison having the dream…
