Medium Goes Up Against Lost Wednesdays at 10/9c
Um, not to make you nervous or anything, but did you know Lost returns to ABC with new episodes February 7th at 10:00pm? That’s TOMORROW at 10:00pm, the same time as Medium.
Not that I have ever watched a single episode of Lost, but other people seem to like it.
I’m sure it’s nothing. NOTHING. Everything is going to be JUST FINE, people. Really, you are worried for nothing. Think no more about it.

I used to be devoted to “Lost”, but with the repeats, so much focus on the Others this year, I think I’ll watch “Medium” live and record “Lost” and watch it later. I will record “Medium” also so I can re-watch it over and over.
That’s the beauty of having more than one TV and VCR! Don’t have Tivo.
I certainly hope “Medium” has enough devoted fans to keep it going. Last weeks Nielsens for “Medium” were 6.6, which in recent weeks any way, was the best posting so far this season.

I have never been a fan of ‘Lost’ and will probably never be a fan of ‘Lost’. I have, however, been a fan of ‘Medium’ from the beginning and will continue to be a fan of ‘Medium’.
As far as the ratings go, ‘Medium’ seems to be holding its own, holding consistently at the 9 million viewers mark. I don’t know what all those ratings numbers mean, but I would like to think that Medium’s core audience has and will continue to stick with it despite ‘Lost’ airing at the same time. Apparently, NBC has more confidence in ‘Medium’ than we think, because they seem intent on keeping it in that slot, and they just shelved ‘Studio 60′ and ‘30 Rock’ to make room for new shows. Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems to me that they could have shelved ‘Medium’ but didn’t, so perhaps they know what they’re doing. I just wish they would go ahead and renew it. The tension is killing me!

I am a little nervous. I have never been a Lost fan, so no conflict for me, I’ll be watching Medium. But, seriously, NBC should take in account who they are against, and that any show would struggle against a show as huge as Lost has become. As far as I know, without Lost, Medium does alright in the ratings. A consistent second (now most likely third) against CSI: New York is (fingers crossed) not the end of the world.
I would have been very angry if they had pushed Medium off to the side like they did Studio 60 and 30 Rock. These two shows started when shows usually start, and Medium didn’t start until November 15. But, yes, I do hope they will renew it soon. I guess all we can do right now is to continue doing what we’re doing and hope for the best.
