MED-051 Summary | All Episodes

Hey, hot blond girl is from Texas. Uh-oh, Sugar Daddy pilot is having a heart attack. Or something. And she’s going down, captain! Nice last ditch attempt to keep from crashing, blondie, but - d’oh! - *crash* - Who are all those guys in orange jumpsuits?

Allison is on the phone with Homeland Security? Holy crap. Allison, Allison, Allison, when will you learn not to call JUST ANYONE and tell them you know what’s going to happen in the future?

Sonny Troyer, creepy guy in orange jumpsuit. Hm…orange jumpsuit.

So Sonny is the guy from S.O.S. who can sense when someone is in trouble, preferably lithesome young women, and swoops in to savage them in their hour of need. Now he is confessing to a 2004 murder to get Devalos to fight his extradition to Texas because they want to, you know, kill him.

I say let Texas have him, but what do I know?

Hey, Devalos is running at the track. Good for him, Mr. Diabetic Man.

Hm, Devalos is not even remotely interested in Allison’s plane crash story. He is much more interested in some joint thing with Deputy Mayor DiNovi where they can both get political mileage out of Troyer.

Same dream, different night. The plane crashes into the prison yard! Ergo the orange jumpsuits. Troyer sensed the lady in distress and planned his escape around the crash. He has no information about the 2004 murder. He just needed to be in that prison yard on that day at that time. Sneaky bastard.

Wow, lots of books on psychic phenomenon found in his cell. What’s he up to?

Allison and Joe talk (where else?) in bed. She is agitated that Troyer is somewhere sleeping so he can dream about his next victim. Allison dreams about a girl trapped in an elevator; a girl trying to get her cat down from a tree (in the middle of the night in the middle of a state park?), who falls and sprains her ankle. What is with all the women in distress?

Troyer is calling her? How did he get her number? And he says he knows where she lives? Aack! That’s right! He called her in S.O.S. from right outside her home.

No, not a commercial NOW!

Scanlon suggests a visible police presence outside Allison’s home to protect them from the serial killer who knows where they live. Meanwhile, DiNovi is waiting for Devalos bright and early and has a blamestorm a-brewin’ over Devalos calling the prison ninety seconds before the plane crashed. She called the Mayor who called the Governor who called Texas to keep Troyer here as a favor to Devalos, only to have him escape, so now she says she will need answers. Ooh.

The police find a body the next day and Allison realizes Troyer called her to scare her so she would stay awake and NOT see the same dreams he would be seeing. That way, she would have no chance to thwart his kill.

Okay, he is really pissing me off now.

Allison dreams of a girl who locks herself on the roof at work while having a smoke. But the girl just gave her address over the phone to a liquor store so they could make a delivery to her roommate. Her scared roommate, who is freaked out about the crazy escaped murderer running around Arizona on the loose.  So where does Allison send the cops? To the roof because she is Not. Paying. Attention. “Wrong roommate, Allison.”

Oh great, Allison’s daughters are staging a revolt because they hate being stuck inside so Joe is taking them up to Flagstaff. Sure, leave Allison all alone at the address the killer knows about. That’s smart. Police presence or no, this cannot be a good idea. And what is with the girls being bored just because they are inside? I spent days and days inside reading as a kid. Do kids not read any more?

Oh ick. DiNovi is waiting for Scanlon at home, but not for nookie. She grills him about Allison and why she has twenty four hour police protection. He won’t tell her. Actually, he says he would tell her but she wouldn’t believe him. She is not pleased.

Um, excuse me, where are the police officers guarding Allison going? Damn that DiNovi! She took the police protection away in the middle of the night…and he’s there! Troyer is outside Allison’s window! She called Scanlon but he is ten minutes away. OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD

Allison is on the phone with Scanlon and - it’s so confusing - Troyer is trying to break the back window with a chair - is Scanlon telling her to open the front door? She does and Scanlon grabs her and puts his hand over her mouth.

What?! I thought he was ten minutes away.

The SWAT team rushes in and shots are fired. Um, I think they got him. Yeah, they definitely got him. No more Troyer.

And there stands DiNovi. So I guess Scanlon decided DiNovi might believe him after all if he told her about what Allison can do. And she did. And she did not remove the police presence but just made it look that way. And they could not let Allison know because she had to feel frightened so Troyer would sense her fear and come for her.

Bait? They used her as bait? Oh, they would so be off my Christmas card list.

End with Allison drinking, Scanlon and DiNovi on their way to getting back together, and Joe and the girls on their way home from Flagstaff. Oh, and a dead guy in the backyard, but I am sure the nice SWAT people will clear him away in a jiffy.

What a powerful woman you are Sheila! You can write all that and still keep up with the Opne Mic night!

I thought it was so funny when the lady on the roof thought they were coming after her for smoking on the roof! Too funny!

Great ep - although I am bummed about Scanlon and DiNovi getting back together - c’mon find someone better who hasn’t broken his heart! Someone who doesn’t just thing about associations with people she knows that will help her climb the political ladder. OK so if her “friends” who want her to run for City Council think it’s bad idea to date a civil servant, think what will hit the fan when they find out he is a recovering drug addict! I see more heartbreak in Scanlon’s future people!!!
