Medium News: Three Hour Season Finale!

by Sheila on April 15th, 2007

Hey, maybe the Deal or No Deal episode is the THREE HOUR season finale guest starring Neve Campbell and Jason Priestly! The link takes you to the fabulous Javier Grillo-Marxuach’s blog, where he says he wrote part of the season finale and helped break the story for it.

Um, where have I been? What story? When did it break? Did I blog about it and have completely forgotten due to tax season brain overload?

Sheesh.

Maybe he was the one who gave Ausiello this scoop, though as a scoop it lacks the important THREE HOUR SEASON FINALE part. When? When is this happening?

Oh that stingy NBC network and its information embargo.

UPDATE: Aha! I just checked out this audio interview* with Javi, where he mentions the last three episodes of Medium this season are in continuity with each other “in an interactive way that is more serialized.” So it is not one three-hour episode, but three one-hour episodes that are related.

Well, kewl! I wonder what they are going to do. Jason Priestly in one, Neve Campbell in another? Oh the not knowing is torture. Torture I tell you!

*Javi’s interview starts about a third of the way in with a discussion of his work on Lost. He also discusses his comic book and original Middleman work. There is not much Medium discussion to speak of aside from the above but Javi is always an entertaining listen.

OHHHHH! Sounds exciting! Can’t wait, but oh now, that will mean (hoping for renewal here) months with no new Medium! WHAT will we do?

The interview was okay, but they didn’t say much about Medium, still a three hour finale is big. I just hope it’s not series ending big. I’m not sure about the DoND thing, but this does look promising for a renewal, if NBC is putting this much into promotion. But I’m still not sure about the crossover thing. May be a bit much.

Darn it, I should have asked Thomas last night about the renewal. I’m still kicking myself for that. I wish I had seen the video before I met him and I could have asked him about that too. Talk about a missed opportunity.

Dawn, you must dish - who is this person? Tell us all about it!

    Oh,just a new friend I made.
I’m sorry. Did I forget to mention his last name? It’s Jane. Thomas Jane.
But then I guess I could have also asked David (as in Arquette).

Just kidding about making friends, although I could easily see becoming friends with them both. But I was so nervous about meeting them both that I forgot a lot of things I wanted to say to them. What a dork I was. But I did tell them what a big fan I was of all of them and especially of Medium. I told David how much I enjoyed the episode that he directed and he was so nice and gracious. And he and Thomas were the most genuine, down-to-earth people you’d ever want to meet. They were so warm and friendly, and everything that you hope a celebrity will be when you meet them. It was truly a wonderful experience meeting them both. I asked Thomas to give Patricia a message for me and he was so kind and said absolutely, that he would deliver it personally when he saw her again on Wednesday.

Talk about COOL! I fell in love with him all over again. Patricia is SOOOO LUCKY!! He is GORGEOUS! Even moreso in person than on screen. And David is pretty good-looking in person too. And he’s not at all like he is on talk shows, all goofy and silly. He seems very quiet and shy in person. Very charming.

Dawn, I am so jealous. But, then, I might just make a fool of myself if I met a celebrity, especially one that I know anything about. You must give us more details. How exactly did this happen? And photos are a must!

Holly, don’t feel like the Lone Ranger. I’m surprised I didn’t make a fool of myself. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if I did.

They were in town premiering their new movie, The Tripper, and were at the theater for the show. They were hanging out before the show with everyone and signing autographs and just chatting. They were totally cool, and just two of the nicest guys you could ever want to meet. They took pictures with everyone and were just normal guys, not at all like celebrities. They seemed genuinely pleased and happy to see everyone who turned out, even though it was a small crowd. But that was better, because it made it easier to get to talk to them.

I already liked them before, but now I absolutely LOVE them. They are both charming and handsome (especially Thomas, OMG! Patricia is SOO lucky). I was already a fan of all of the Arquettes, but now I am a HUGE fan of them. I don’t know what else to say. They were awesome.

I’m still working on the pictures. Let you know when I get them.

If anyone is interested, David Arquette will be on Jimmy Kimmel live tonight!

Yes, Dawn, I know it’s not the same as meeting him in person, but, not all of us are as lucky as you!

Hey, kewl tip Betty. I will have to Tivo it. He seems like a very down to earth, funny guy.

Betty, you beat me to it. I was going to mention that. He’s always fun to watch on talk shows, but I think it’s like Patricia said on Letterman, he just gets nervous and starts acting crazy.

But he is still fun to meet in person too.

Sheila: He is a VERY down-to-earth guy, and he is funny too, but not crazy like he is on talk shows.
