Yea! Can’t wait! If you’re a “Lost” fan, too, just Tivo or tape it and watch “Medium” live!

    Feb 7, 2007 at 2:50 pm

This is off tonight’s topic, but does anyone have the first 2 hour episode “Four Dreams” taped or on DVD? I accidentally taped over mine and am desperate to see it again! I just can’t wait until the season ends and the boxed set comes out. Please respond here or email me at bboop1104@yahoo.com and I will gladly cover the cost of material and mailing. Thanks!

No, I’m sorry I don’t have Four Dreams. For some reason didn’t tape the first couple of episodes, so I only have the more recent ones.

I sure am looking forward to seeing Arliss Howard back tonight. And Joe’s suppose to tell some kind of white lie, too. I think Wednesday has become my favorite weekday. I have looked forward to this all day. Yay Medium!

I just checked the guide on my television and I got what the episode in two weeks is going to be about.

Second Opinion–Allison’s dreams turn into chilling nightmares that seemingly foretell her youngest daughter’s death from leukemia in 20 years. Elsewhere, Scanlon scrutinizes the sudden death of a friend.

Sounds kinda like a sad episode. I just love spoilers!

    Feb 7, 2007 at 4:23 pm

Thanks Holly for checking on “Four Dreams” for me, I hope someone has it!

Oh I hope that “Second Opinion” episode is mostly Scanlon!

Does anyone else think that David Cubitt is the most perfect man ever????? Great to look at - great hair, great body, great legs (have you noticed how soccer players have the most amazing thighs and butts?), even nice hands with long fingers (hey, there are a lot of women that don’t have hands as pretty as his!)very intelligent, loves his family(a man who wears his wedding ring!), and seems to have all his priorities straight! An outstanding actor to boot!

    Betty,
I do have “Four Dreams” on tape. I will e-mail you and we can talk about it.

And I am SO psyched about the next couple of episodes. Allison’s identity crisis (I’m REALLY looking forward to that one) and now her visions about little Marie! Can this show get ANY better?

Also just wanted to add this, I saw the Nielsens for last week and Medium won its slot with its highest rating of the season. I don’t know about you but that sounds like good news to me! Also, did anyone catch the teaser about the “Frasier” reunion on “Medium”? Seems Peri Gilpin (Roz) will play a 17-year-old Allison’s mother in an upcoming ep. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

I really don’t know that much about David Cubitt but from what I have seem of him on Medium is really great. He’s a superb actor and is definitely easy on the eyes. But, if we’re talking about the men of Medium, (you might think I’m weird for saying this) but I really like Jake Weber. I’ve seen him in a couple of other things and I was impressed by his acting. His voice is so smooth and just makes me melt. He is so handsome! The show just wouldn’t be the same if her left. I am definitely a fan of both David and Jake.

Hi everyone. Another work day dead and buried. Yay!

I am sooooo curious to know what Joe’s little white lie is about tonight.

Great scoops about upcoming episodes and guest stars!

  • Holly
    Feb 7, 2007 at 6:53 pm

Yay, someone else is here. I thought I was going to be all alone until have to leave you in a few minutes. I, too, was wondering about the little white lie. If it was to Allison, he should have known better. But, I’m just glad that this means Joe will have a real story line this week. I love him so much on this show, and if they continue to give him large quantities of lines and screen time, hopefully he’ll stay around.

    Feb 7, 2007 at 6:57 pm

I must leave you all now, almost time to watch Medium. I thought ten o’clock would never arive.

Once again, I am filled with jealousy. Holly is watching the show and I have THREE HOURS to wait. Why is it so fabulous to live on the west coast again?

    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:18 pm

    Hey Sweetie!

Just online and checking in ’cause I know you’re there!

I’m going to put season 1 on our Netflix list so I can get up to speed. We’re currently watching Dead Like Me and loving it - too bad it only went two seasons.

Did you take a look at that link I sent you regarding the Willard library? I spent HOURS late at night looking for apparitions, in fact, for a while there I was hooked on it!

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:20 pm

We’ve only got 40 minutes left to wait…

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:35 pm

    Sheila…Has…Left…The…Room.

Hey JB! Nice to see ‘ya here! So where’s our girl?

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:36 pm

You don’t suppose she’s gone and done something selfish like…. taking time to eat or anything?

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:38 pm

Hey! When did you guys get here. I could swear I checked just a few minutes ago.

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:40 pm

I think Sheila was off eating… that’s where I was. And watching Studio 60 from Monday.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:42 pm

JCW: I did check out the link. I have not yet spent time ghost watching but I can see how it would be addictive. I once spent an entire evening watching a kitty cam someone set up to keep an eye on the cats while they were out of town. ADD. IC. TIVE.

JennBo: Oh goody. Someone to watch the show with me. Not sure if JCW will hang around for that.

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:43 pm

Just checked in….What was for dinner? Chocolate
    ravioli with chocolate sauce?

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:44 pm

JCW will be watching Next Design Star hosted by the strabgley creepy Todd Oldham. My Medium fix will start with season one in the next couple of weeks when we get it from Netflix.

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:46 pm

    Strangely….

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:46 pm

Cadbury Caramello. The big bar. Oh, and a homemade cheeseburger.

    *burp*

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:48 pm

JCW: Chocolate ravioli is closs. I planned to have ravioli (Carmelized Pear & Shallot), but I went with leftovers because I didn’t want to make the sauce. I’ll save it for tomorrow.

Sheila: I’ll definitely be here for the show. I’m multi-tasking though. I have to finish my book club book tonight. 80 pages to go.

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:49 pm

Close enough…. I really agonized about missing the episode about the evil doll, but it was the last episode of Top Chef… My guy didn’t win. Should have watched Medium.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:50 pm

JCW: Lifetime is showing Medium in order starting at episode 1. You missed the pilot. It was on last Saturday at 11:00. But you can record the others in case Netflix in inconvenient.

Aside: Todd Oldham IS a tad creepy.

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:51 pm

No - I LOVE Netflix! We get a series in and can watch it to our heart’s content - no waiting until next week!

You didn’t say - did you ever catch Dead Like Me?
highly underrated series - just big fun!

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:52 pm

And yes - Tood Oldham is the WORST TV host EVER - aside from Paula Abdul.

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:52 pm

    Todd - damn…I can’t type for shit.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:54 pm

JCW: No I missed Dead Like Me. Is it available on DVD? I will look for it on Blockbuster’s Netflix copycat.

    LMAO! I like Tood better.

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:56 pm

Yes - We’re watching D.L.M. on DVD presently - in the middle of season one. WARNING! It’s very enjoyable, and knowing it only lasted two seasons causes anxiety while your trying to enjoy the show - just knowing it doesn’t go on and on - it’s really that good!

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:58 pm

Worst TV Host: What about Julie Chen & the 1st season of big brother?

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:58 pm

Is the star dead and comes back as a ghost? Now THAT would be fun. Except for the part where you have to die, of course.

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 9:58 pm

During commercial breaks, check into Design Star and see if you can’t catch Tood doing some of his stiff, retarded line readings - you just find yourself thinking, W.T.F.???

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:00 pm

    Ooh! Ooh! It’s starting!

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:01 pm

What?! It’s a bushwack, people! OMG! Not over the Cliff!

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:01 pm

    Excellent start! I love it.

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:02 pm

Never caught Ms. Chen - didn’t do Big Brother.

D.L.M. - An 18 year old girl is forced out of the family home by her mother to go to a job interview, and winds up getting hit by a flaming toilet seat falling from a Russian Space Station.
She dies, but rather than move into the light, winds up being recruited to be a Grim Reaper, whose job is to remove the souls of those about to bite it and help them move on.

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:03 pm

Whoops! Off to Design Star - Kisses everyone!

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:03 pm

JCW: Oh, I am so going to love that show. Yes, it will completely piss me off there are only two seasons.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:06 pm

Bye JCW! I will see if I can catch a glimpse of Tood during the Medium commercials.

JennBo: What are you reading for your book club?

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:08 pm

“The Things We Do For Love” Kristin Hannah

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:08 pm

I just loooooove Captain Push. He is very groovy. And now psychic?

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:10 pm

I thought Captn Push was just clever…

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:11 pm

Commercial…Todd is creepier than ANYTHING happening on Medium - guaranteed!

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:11 pm

I remember Drug Assembly. The local cop burned some mary-ja-wana in a strainer so we could all smell it so we could recognize it in the future. Ha!

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:15 pm

Wow, I was 23 before I smelled Mary-Juwana. It was at an Alanis Morissette concert.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:15 pm

Okay, I just clicked over to Top Design during the commercial. Tood looks…dirty. As in unwashed. I’m just sayin’.

  • arieanna
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:15 pm

I am just watching now. I think our drug awareness was some cop with a dog puppet, or something. It had a name. I don’t remember it.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:18 pm

Arieanna: Now if the dog puppet was that insulting comedy dog, THAT would have been a good drug assembly!

JennBo: Let me know what you think of the book when you’re all done.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:19 pm

    WHAT was Bridgette looking for?

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:20 pm

    Drugs in her daddy’s drawer?

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:22 pm

Hm…and then she ran off all guilty-like. And we haven’t heard Joe’s little white lie yet, as the spoiler said would be coming. Maybe Bridgette asks him if he ever tried drugs and he lies and says no. Heh.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:27 pm

Is Joe a ganga-smoker? Or did Bridgette see it in his past?

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:28 pm

    Ah, in the past…

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:29 pm

Ah, the misspent youth. And another Capt. Push dream. Poor old thing, and him with a bad heart.

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:29 pm

Agh, I missed it! Who just got shot?

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:31 pm

I think they just shot the door. They shot a security guard in his earlier dream. Or maybe I missed it too.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:35 pm

Oh dear, must’ve been the guard getting shot.

Hey, it’s Wayne the sketch artist!

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:36 pm

“It’s sad. She has a keen intuition but a feeble memory.”

    LOL!

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:37 pm

Maybe Captn Ross has the story, but not the image. Like reading a book, he has to imagine his own pictures…

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:37 pm

His pacemaker’s bad? Ack! Wait, is he going to eat chili AND THEN go to the hospital for the procedure? Aren’t you supposed to fast or something before a major medical procedure?

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:37 pm

I bet Wayne would have been thinking “yeah, right.”

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:38 pm

Push! It’s Capt. Push. Hee! I know. It’s hard to keep all the names straight.

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:40 pm

Wonder where I came up with Ross…

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:41 pm

Ha! I just caught a blooper. He had a bunch of whole tomatoes, he starts cutting, says one sentence to Bridgette, and the next time they show the counter ALL of the tomatoes are cut up. Maybe he’s a witch as well as psychic now.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:43 pm

Oh no! Could his ICU nurses really be the bad guys? No way! Maybe like you said he put his own pictures with the scenes in his dream.

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:48 pm

“Daddy’s home. (pause) Hold your applause.”

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:51 pm

OMG it’s going to happen now! How can Push possibly stop it when he’s drugged up and in a bed?

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:52 pm

Oh boy does he need to have an out of body experience right now!

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:54 pm

Ha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! It’s Allison having the dream. Yippee!

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:56 pm

(Cue Canadian mountie music) And here is Scanlon to save the daaaaaaaaaaaay!

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:57 pm

Shew… I’m glad it all makes sense after all…

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 10:57 pm

AND Captn Push DID have to assign his own “pictures”

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 11:01 pm

Excellent episode. I really liked that one. Especially the part where it made me remember Drug Assembly. And by association, I Enjoy Being A Girl Assembly.

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 11:03 pm

    I liked the show too…

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 11:03 pm

These assemblys must be a California thing. We didn’t have either in Utah.

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 11:04 pm

We did have a drug assemby of a sort, but it was really just a long lecture and a survey where most of us lied. I didn’t want to admit I’d never drank, smoke, or did drugs…

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 11:05 pm

So you lied to say you DID? Bridgette would be appalled. Or proud. I am not sure which.

  • Jenn Bo
    Feb 7, 2007 at 11:07 pm

Appalled. I lie is a lie. Okay, I’m going to get into bed and finish reading my book. Thanks, this was fun…

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 11:07 pm

Thanks for staying up tonight. This was fun!

  • Sheila
    Feb 7, 2007 at 11:09 pm

G’nite! Catch you later. And you too, you lurkers!

  • JCW
    Feb 7, 2007 at 11:15 pm

Sheila, Where the hell was I during drug assembly?
The only assembly I remember was seventh grade when they tried to teach all us boys about puberty and sex, but left out the part about boys like me…..

  • Sheila
    Feb 8, 2007 at 8:59 am

Yeah, where were you? It was at Shaffer School, either 4th, 5th, or 6th grade for me.

[…] I am still having waaay too much fun yakking with you guys during the show on Open Mic Night to liveblog it. Here is an excerpt of TVSquad’s review to quench your thirst for a recap: […]

  • GARY RAUDABAUGH
    Feb 8, 2007 at 10:39 am

In yesterday’s episode, Push told Allison’s 2nd oldest daughter that his mother told him that his dad was dead and he found out he was a drunk..However, when Push appeared a couple of years ago, Allison saw who she thought was Push, who supposedly died, but it was Push’s dad, also a police officer. What’s up with that?

  • Sheila
    Feb 8, 2007 at 12:49 pm

Gary: At the end of the episode, as Push said good-bye to Allison, he indicated he had told a bit of a fib about his dad then, when she looked confused, told Allison to ask her middle child about it. So he lied, too! But I think Bridgette understood.

  • Betty
    Feb 8, 2007 at 1:29 pm

    Dawn,

You are a life saver! Please do email me about the “Four Dreams” episode. Thanks! That’s bboop1104@yahoo.com

Loved this episode. It was perfect! Well, we could have seen more of Lee Scanlon, but at least he was dispersed throuhgout and came in to save the day at the end! Yea! Scanlon!

  • Holly
    Feb 10, 2007 at 1:39 pm

I wasn’t really sure where to put this, but I found it so interesting that I thought I should share. Remember the girl who played young Allison in “Sweet Dreams?” Her name was Jessy Schram, and last Friday she played a cheerleader named Rana in Ghost Whisperer! I only caught the second half of the show and the entire time I kept thinking she looked familiar, but couldn’t place her. Then it hit me and I checked it out. Interesting trivia.

  • Sheila
    Feb 10, 2007 at 1:45 pm

Holly: That is so funny! I watched Ghost Whisperer last night and thought, “Hey, it’s the young Allison.” She was a little more hip and rich and bitchy. And less drunk. Heh.
