I hope people using Tivo will count for the ratings when NBC is deciding whether or not to cancel the show. If they can renew the drivel that is The Apprentice, surely they can renew quality television that is Medium!

I do not have Tivo at this time, but I would Tivo Medium if I had one - I do tape Medium every week.

Actually, these numbers are down slightly. Medium has been as high as #11 on TiVo’s Season Pass this season. But it has been consistently in the top 20 all season.

And I do think that the networks take these numbers into account when looking at a show’s future, even though they can’t actually use these numbers, or they don’t say that they use them. There has been an ongoing battle between advertisers and networks to include these in the Nielsen ratings. And ABC has recently been lauding the fact that even though Lost has been down in the Nielsens this season, that when these numbers are included, that it is doing as well as, if not better than last season. If that is true, then I think the same can be said of Medium, which makes me feel much better about its future.
