Medium Season Three Premiere Ratings
November 17, 2006 in The Starr Report:
Ratings: NBC’s “Medium” (Patricia Arquette) returned Wednesday night with a two-hour episode (9-11) p.m., pulling in 9.4 million viewers and beating the premiere of ABC’s “Day Break” (Taye Diggs) by nearly a million viewers from 10-11.
In the timeslot, however, “Day Break” beat “Medium” in total viewers (10.2 million) and adults 18-49.
Now really, what is he trying to say with “in the timeslot?” Whose timeslot? Everyone who watches Medium knows its regular timeslot is 10-11 and it was only on at 9 for the special two-hour premiere. So they both had two-hour premieres and each show won its regular timeslot. Which means that although Day Break beat Medium from 9-10, it lost 2 million viewers after the first hour? (9.4 million beats Day Break by a million puts Day Break at 8.4 milliion versus its starting point of 10.2 million = a loss of 2 million?) Oh my.
