TEENAGE ALLISON AND PRESENT-DAY ALLISON’S CONTACT WITH “THE BOY NEXT DOOR” HELP HER PIECE TOGETHER A CRIME INVOLVING A YOUNG GIRL — Allison wakes up as her teenaged self (guest star Jessy Schram), living with her mother (guest star Peri Gilpin, “Frasier”) and struggling with her ability. Teenage Allison dreams of her future self and life with her family, and particularly a meeting with the “boy next door ” (guest star Jim True-Frost), which helps her solve a present-day crime involving a young girl.
So the rumors are true! Peri Gilpin IS going to play Allison’s mother and it IS based in the past so the age difference (or lack thereof) between her and Allison isn’t an issue.
Should be fun!

Sounds like another great episode. Can’t wait to find more out about Allison’s Mom and if she is still alive or not.

I just read something in next week’s TV Guide about this ep. Peri Gilpin describes the character as a single mom/waitress who is content until her daughter starts talking about seeing dead people and knowing the future. She is a really good actress(I always loved her on Frasier) and should be great on this show. I only wish we could see her and Patricia Arquette in a scene together. That would be great. Should be another excellent episode.

One more thing. The name of the actress who plays teenage Allison is very familiar. Anybody know why? I’m thinking she’s been on the show before, but not as Allison. I may be mistaken but I think she was the daughter, Claire, in “Mother’s Little Helper”. Maybe I’m wrong,but I know I’ve heard that name before.

Nope, she played teenage Allison in “Sweet Dreams” last season. She was also recently on an episode of Ghost Whisperer, which I found kinda amusing. This episode sounds good–I love learning more about Allison’s past, and I enjoyed Jessy Schram’s performance last time she was on the show. Just another one of the great episodes of Medium that are coming our way!

I think teenage Stephen was from Veronica Mars, as Cassidy Casablancas for seasons 1 and 2. Young Allison was also on Veronica Mars, for 4 episodes as Hannah Griffith.
