NBC/Medium Live Blog Recap

by Sheila on November 16th, 2006

NBC had Medium creator/producer Glenn Gordon Caron live blog after the East Coast premiere. He was only “live” for 45 minutes, however, and signed off before the show aired on the West Coast. Disappointing.

I will let you judge the blog and level of interaction for yourself. The timeline starts at the bottom, so start with “Welcome” and work your way up.

If you go to the main blog site instead, note that only 15 posts appear on the main page and there is no “next” button to navigate to the earlier posts. To see them all, click on “Archives.”

You know, I am not even sure why I am giving link love to the NBC site. They are really pissing me off right now. I was the first person…The. First. Person. …to leave a comment/question but did they answer it? No. No they did not.

I didn’t just ask some random question. I gave them some background: I have a blog completely devoted to the show. I gave them the set up: I am currently running a poll asking which guest star fans would most like to see return and the overwhelming response is Ryan Hurst, who played Allison’s brother Michael. I asked the question: Will we be seeing Ryan Hurst return any time soon?

Now, you would think NBC would want to answer a question they know has more than one person behind it, especially when those people are die-hard Medium fans. People who 1) frequent a blog devoted to the show, and 2) don’t just read the show’s blog but are engaged enough to participate in a poll about it (and thank you for that, btw, dear Medium fan.)

Perhaps I am still stuck on the “it’s not really a live blog” issue.

In one of the dreams where they showed that asian girl, they were portraying an indonesian girl, but I could have sworn she was speaking in Tagalog (language from the Philippines) and not Indonesian. Unfortunately, even her tagalog was not spoken correctly. Just a little casting glitch there, I guess.

Cecile: Ha! Yeah, I saw that several people mentioned that little discrepancy in the comments on the live blog. You know, the comments that were completely ignored.
