Open Mic Night at Medium Dreams
It’s Open Mic Night at Medium Dreams!
Hello my friends. It is I, Sheila, speaking to you from beyond the veil of b5media bloggerdom. (cue spooky music)
Though I no longer blog for Medium Dreams, I set this time-delayed post to go up at Open Mic Night’s regularly scheduled time on Wednesday as a precautionary measure. You know, in case they do not find a blogger to take over the site by Wednesday.
We Medium fans cannot miss an Open Mic Night. Not when it is Head Games, the first of the three-headed monster series! What would we do? Where would we go? How would we share our excitement about the show and catty comments like, "I much prefer Neve Campbell with long hair?"
Tonight’s drink is appropriately named The Head. ‘Tis a fruity cocktail with rum, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice. The appetizer is a head of roasted garlic - several actually - along side a giant wedge of herb Brie. Enjoy.
UPDATE:
I’m so excited to be starting Open Mic Night during this series. There’s so much to talk about. What happens to our intrepid medium? Will Sheila make an appearance from beyond the veil? How do you feel about Neve Campbell’s hair?

Sheila, you are always so creative when it comes to drinks! I have to admit, I’m nearly as creative as all that.
Katelyn, in case you have tuned in before, we generally like to bring virtual drinks and snacks to set us up for an evening of fun and Medium watching. I’m always good for the pitcher of margaritas - frozen or on the rocks with salt or no salt - it’s your preference.
Dawn, how about some spinach dip this week with assorted chips since you are growing tired of that onion blossom?
Chocolate - it’s never good if there isn’t any chocolate - how about some chocolate chunk cookies? Yum!
All I can say is I hope Neve’s hair looks better than in the TV Guide pic!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the site has gone totally bonkers today! First all the posts were one on top of another and all the stuff that is usually on the side is under the posts! Crazy! I think “Hal” is paying us a visit.

Hi Katelyn,
I am looking forward to your first Open Mic. Have you visited us before on open mic? Everything is set up, refreshments, DVR.
Where do you reside, are you in CA like Sheila? or will you be watching Medium at an earlier time with the rest of us??
Looking forward to it and good luck

Hi, guys,
And welcome, Katelyn, to your first Open Mic Nite as moderator. I’m looking forward to chatting with you all tonight. I CAN’T WAIT for these next few episodes. I think they are going to be AWESOME!
Betty, I’m in for spinach dip and crackers. Are the margaritas ready. Frozen with extra salt, please, as always.
Sheila, your drink sounds really good too. Maybe I’ll have one of those too, since I’m not driving.
I’m with Betty about the site. What is going on with it today? It’s acting crazy. Anyway, see you all tonight. It’s New Medium Wednesday, yeah! Party time!!

Betty,
I’m bringing brownies. I make the double chocolate brownies and use raspberry apple sauce in place of the oil. They are sooo good.
Tom,
I read back over a few of the past Open Mics and they sound like fun. I am on the East Coast. (You know it’s the proper coast because we get t.v. shows hours before West Coasters.)
Dawn,
Thanks for the welcome. I hope the site is working ok for you guys now. I’m not noticing anything odd.
Betty
May 2, 2007 at 2:49 pm
Katelyn, you are now a friend for life! Anyone who can bring double chocolate brownies! YUM!
Thanks Dawn, and yes, the drinks are ready and waiting.
What is that drink called that is made with champagne and peach juice - a Bellini - I think - um, that sounds good, not so sure about mixing the fruit cocktail and cranberry juice with the schnapps - I might try a sip. I find that I’m not crazy about that many drinks myself. That’s probably a good thing.
Yes, Katelyn, this site is STILL being crazy - just now the side bar items are still on the bottom below the posts, not on the side where they are supposed to be. Even though I’m suscribed to this site, it doesn’t show any new postings for today and there are 2. HMMMM - it’s “Hal” I tell you.
So Katelyn, it sounds like you are the crafty type - let’s make some Medium crafts. Ideas?
I cannot wait until tonight for Medium!!!!

Hi Katelyn, Betty, Tom, and Dawn. Have fun with your first Open Mic Night, Katelyn.
Yum … double chocolate brownies! I’ll drop off some rice krispie treats now just in case I can’t make it back later.
Sheila, your drink sounds good. I’ll have one of those and one of Betty’s Bellini’s. I love those things. I’m also doing a tequila shot every time someone apologizes to someone for waking someone up in the middle of the night.
It just started to thunderstom here and my lights are blinking. I’d better get off the computer … I hope we don’t lose power during Medium! Uh oh, lightning outside my window. Ugh!

Medium Crafts…Maybe dream catchers? If Allison is desperate for a peaceful night, she can try hanging them all around her bed. We can make them with embroidery hoops decorated with feathers and ribbons with beads on them.
Or what about dream journals - we can decorate blank books with rubber stamps, exotic papers and a few photos of our favorite show and be all ready to record our dreams. Mine aren’t as stressful as Allison’s, but it still might be a good idea to record some of them.

May 2, 2007 at 5:16 pm
Uh-oh, I think we’ve come up with our first Medium drinking game. How many shots do you think we can get per episode? Any guesses?
I actually know of another one, but it’s super-secret and only to be revealed to TRUE Patricia Arquette fans.
Should be a fun night. Hunker down, nansee. Sounds like you could be in for a rough one.
Betty, that Bellini does sound good, and with double chocolate brownies. Yum.
Dawn
May 2, 2007 at 5:19 pm
Great ideas, Katelyn. I love dreamcatchers, and Allison needs them all over her room, maybe even her house. Maybe we should all make her one and send it to her.
The dream journals sound like a really good idea. You really are crafty. I’m more of a scrapbooker myself, among other things. But I like the dream journals.

Hi everyone,
I finished dinner a while ago but all this talk of eating and drinking is making me hungry again.
The pizzas should arrive around 9:55 right before the start of Medium for us lucky East Coasters.
Good to see everyone again

Hi, all! And yes, this site has been going bonkers for the past few days. I know for me, it keeps freezing up, and the stuff usually on the side is under everything! All well, not a big deal. Especially now that there is less than a hour Medium to start.
I’m up for some of the brownies. They have to be one of my favorite foods. And Katelyn, those crafts sound like fun.
Well, Katelyn, I hope you enjoy your first Open Mic Night. I won’t probably be here for long because I have to wake up at six in the morning to go to school. But, hey, at least I’m able to stay up and watch Medium. This one looks really good!
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 6:13 pm
Ah. School. I have to wake up at six to go teach English, but I love Medium.
Holly
May 2, 2007 at 6:36 pm
English is probably my favorite and best subject. I take honors and I found it rather difficult, but I learned so much this year, so it was worth it. I’ll wake up in the morning and wonder why I didn’t go to bed earlier, but staying up and watching Medium is worth the few extra yawns the next day.

Hi Y’all!
I’m only dropping in for a moment to wish Katelyn luck on her first open mic night and to weigh in on Neve Campbell’s hair…. Icky. I have always liked the girl, and she obviously shares Patricia’s “Screw Hollywood - I’m gonna be myself” attitude, but some women just don’t look so great with a short, choppy hairstyle.
I leave you all with appropriately enough, a bottle of Absinthe, so that you may all enjoy meeting “The Green Fairy”. Newly legalized in the U.S., I just happen to have a sample bottle prior to it’s commercial release.
What better to sip on while enjoying Medium? Don’t worry, concerns regarding the drink’s supposed toxic qualities have been addressed and it’s quite safe. Just don’t blame me if you have visions tonight….
Oh… and chips. I also brought a bag of chips.
Enjoy!
Dawn
May 2, 2007 at 6:47 pm
Hi,JCW
Don’t rush off so fast. Stick around for the party. Thanks for the chips and drinks. I’ve never heard of that but it sounds interesting.
I agree with you about Neve’s hairstyle. Yuck. Although I don’t know if she shares Patricia’s “screw Hollywood” attitude or if she just has no sense of style. That’s still up in the air. The only hairstyle that I’ve seen that looked worse than hers was Selma Blair when she cut it herself. Horrible. And the sad part was she had no one to blame but herself.
But I like Patricia’s short hairstyle. I didn’t at first, but it’s grown on me and now I think it’s adorable on her.
Lena
May 2, 2007 at 6:49 pm
Hi Ya’ll
It’s good to be here again. I love the drink, “The Head”. I just hope it doesn’t go to my head too fast. The tendency is to drink these sweet drinks like punch-a mistake.
BTW Dawn, I just left those sexy, casual pics of Jake on GettyImages. And all I can say is woooo! It should be illegal to look that good!
Holly
May 2, 2007 at 6:55 pm
I for one have never been a fan of short hair. I’ve had long hair all my life and I don’t plan on ever getting it cut too short, but who knows. Like Dawn, at first I hated Patricia’s haircut, but I think it has grown on me.
As far as Neve goes, I’m going to wait until I’ve watched the entire episode to pass judgement. It dosn’t look great on the previews, but who knows, it might get better after you’ve looked at it for awhile?
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 6:58 pm
Hola, mi compadres!
Y’know, I am not crazy about peach but I must say the drink “The Head” is rather refreshing.
Katelyn: I just did a quick test and discovered the wonky stuff everyone is talking about on this site is still happening, but only in Internet Explorer. I have no problems when I view it in my Firefox browser. The last time the sidebars migrated themselves down below the regular content, it was an open tag in the blog template. You do not have access to the template so your CE or tech support will have to check it out.
Everyone: Sorry for the techno-babble. If you want to try the Firefox browser, you can download it for free here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/.
Holly
May 2, 2007 at 6:59 pm
Well, Medium starts in one minutes, so I must leave you. I don’t have a television in my computer room, so I’ll look forward to talking to you all tomorrow about the episode!
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:03 pm
Ooh. Minutes in and the first sorry for waking you up has already happened!
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:06 pm
Firefox and the newest version of Explorer are both working for me. I’ll drop a note about the problem to the CE and hopefully it will be fixed soon for the rest of you.

Hi, Sheila
Glad you made it. See, bet you didn’t believe us when we told you about all that craziness, didja?
Those luckly stiffs, getting to watch the show already. So disgusting. I’ll just have to watch it and have my own Open Mic Nite later. Sheila, you wanna join me?
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:08 pm
And still the teen attitude. Was that an eye roll?
Alexandra
May 2, 2007 at 7:12 pm
Ok, I’m new to Open Mic, and I didn’t realize there were so many sugary snacks here. I’ll bring the low carb stuff…don’t worry it’s all good!
Fried Pork Rinds are zero carbs and zero sugars! Yumm!
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:13 pm
What is up with that woman? She obviously has some agenda.
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:15 pm
By the way, I kind of like her hair. It frames her face.
Alexandra
May 2, 2007 at 7:16 pm
She’s some sort of stalker! And I have to say that hubby’s visit to the shrink has been long overdue, hasn’t it?
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:21 pm
Hints you may need to see a shrink:
* You lock yourself in the office and play Solitaire.
* You get in a huge fight with your teen daughter instead of dealing with her with your usual rational calm.
* You shut out your wife instead of turning to her for support.
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 7:21 pm
Dawn: I did! I did! I just couldn’t figure out what the problem was and it did not occur to me to check IE. (I’m don’t have the latest and greatest 7.0. I am still on 6.0, since I never use the darn thing. I heart Firefox.)
I’ll be back at 10:00pst to see if anyone is still awake. Or maybe I’ll tape it and watch tomorrow.
Nah. That’d be no fun.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 7:22 pm
Wow, this is a good show tonight. Allison must have gotten her law degree in the last week a very persuasive arguement with the DA
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 7:24 pm
Welcome Katelyn!
What, some of you guys are already watching the show?! Ahh. How am I going to last the next 40 minutes? Wherever Holly lives, perhaps I should move there. Although, I guess I’ll still wait the same hours in the day. Can’t wait to get into the dirt with you all.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 7:26 pm
Now, you early birds aren’t going to ruin any surprises, are you?
Dawn
May 2, 2007 at 7:26 pm
Sheila, I’ll still be awake. I’m still at work so I’ll watch the show later and chat with you about it then.
So I’m gonna go for now. See y’all later.
Alexandra
May 2, 2007 at 7:26 pm
Where did Joe go?
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:30 pm
Hey Allison,
Why don’t you blurt out a bunch of facts about your family to a stranger?
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:32 pm
No, we’ll just drop continuous tantalizing hints that don’t make sense unless you’re watching to make the next two hours seem longer. :-)
Alexandra
May 2, 2007 at 7:33 pm
Thank God it was a dream, or was it? The youngest daughter is so cute.
Alexandra
May 2, 2007 at 7:40 pm
Whoa…who is that? his sister? Text messages and an incident??….All so darn cryptic!
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:42 pm
The pregnant woman in the room with the guy who held them hostage. I guess she’s having problems, too.
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 7:44 pm
Wow. All these treats and I have absolutely no more appetite. Ick.
Alexandra
May 2, 2007 at 7:45 pm
Oh ok, I didn’t recognize her there. Wow!
Alexandra
May 2, 2007 at 7:55 pm
Hee! Alison threw his phone in the tub! Love that! Why is that lady text messaging him? It reminds me of that thing called Stockholm Syndrome where you get sympathetic for your kidnapper, but instead she’s all “googly” for a fellow kidnapee. See, I make a lot of sense at this time of night. :)
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 8:04 pm
Agghh! You can’t stop now. Folks, this is known as a cliffhanger in the book and movie world. It makes you want to keep following the story to find out what’s happening next, which is fine when all I have to do is turn the page in my book, but a whole week of waiting!
Well, we are running low on refreshments and my sister makes the best blueberry muffins with streusal topping. Soo yummy. I’ve convinced her to give me a dozen just for you mid-west and west coast viewers. Enjoy!
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:07 pm
Woah! Two dreams in one! That was creepy. I know everything I say is going to be old news now, but oh well.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:08 pm
Great show, except we shouldn’t give any hints for those who live to the West of us. We don’t want to ruin any surprises
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 8:09 pm
Ah, but not for those in California.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:09 pm
Just reading the earlier comments, I have Internet Explorer 7 and I have the same complaints everyone else and it has been happening for weeks now.
Lena
May 2, 2007 at 8:10 pm
This was a good show. I plan to re-watch it for the details that I missed.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:12 pm
Ahh, thanks Tom, for trying to keep up the suspense.
By the way, I was having the same technical issues on my computer as well.
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 8:13 pm
Tom,
I sent in a request for help, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Lena,
It was good and I think re-watching is a great idea, since the other two shows build on it.
Does anyone want a cup of tea? I’ve got a really nice English Breakfast blend.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:14 pm
Neve looks like a Winnona Ryder wannabe with that haircut. I think the “car wreck” thing was a total set up. But I’ve only been watching for ten minutes, what do I know. But if I hapen to be right, I’m good, eh?
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:16 pm
Are all shrinks that cold and depressing?
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:17 pm
Oh no, our favorite deputy doll is featured quite a lot in this episode. Super.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:17 pm
I always watch the show over again because even though I am really focused on it when I watch it the first time, I find I miss things.
The acting tonight by all cast members really was brought up a notch.
Dorothy, I would never ruin a surprise for you, you will love this episode
Even Marie is speaking in sentences now.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:18 pm
Dorothy, you watch it during the next hour right?
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 8:18 pm
Some of them are very buddy buddy, but many of them are a bit standoffish. Maybe because they try to keep their patients from attaching to them instead of working through their problems?
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:19 pm
You must be watching it now, sorry just saw your message
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:21 pm
I love how Devalous says to Allison, “We’re not doing expedience today”. I think that’s what he said. I like it when he’s clearly on Allison’s side.
Tom, you’re right, so far the acting is great.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:21 pm
Deputy Doll, now thats funny!!!
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:22 pm
That also was a pretty good speech by Allison wasn’t it?
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:22 pm
I’m not the first to call her that, I don’t think.
Am I the only one watching the show for the first time right now?
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:24 pm
I hadn’t realized until now, but besides her childhood friends, we’ve really never seen Allison with friends. It’s true. Poor thing.
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 8:26 pm
My blog comment was just devoured by blog gremlins. I’m turning in, but will try to check back in at midnight. If not, please enjoy the rest of the evening and feel free to take some muffins home for breakfast tomorrow.
Katelyn
May 2, 2007 at 8:28 pm
Dorothy,
I can’t resist one more comment. You’re right. I guess it is hard to make friends when you have to either hide a big part of your life or have people think you’re a bit off.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:29 pm
I volunteer to be her friend. Oh how I would love to be a personal friend. Any other volunteers???
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:29 pm
It makes me uncomfortable to see Jow in such a weak emotional state. He’s usually the strong, sure footed voice of reason. Now he’s not himself. I feel sorry for him.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:30 pm
Yeah, someone mentioned this earlier, but…go ahead Allison. Blab your whole life to this stranger. This is soooo set up. Stop Allison, stop!!
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:31 pm
She could hide all the secrets she wants, just sit across from me and breath and smile. lol
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:36 pm
Tom, you know I voluteer. Just give me the time and location.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:38 pm
Why is Joe lying to the lady with the baby?! He is NOT excellent. She’s probably one of the few he can really talk to.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:44 pm
You all know how much I love this show, but I have to tell you, I don’t much care for the “To Be Continued” idea.
I hope this was just a passing idea, I hate to think of Medium being a continuing saga. But if it turns out it does become that, I would still watch it because I think the writing, acting, characters (except for Deputy Doll), quality and production are superb.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:45 pm
Oh gross, Ramona’s head on a new body. I think I saw this on Nightmare on Elm ST. That was not pleasant.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:45 pm
Hey D,
The kids must be really behaving to let mommy watch medium and be at open mic with no interruptions.
Was it the handcuffs or the vasaline on the door knobs that did the trick?
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:48 pm
Pssst Dorothy,
There are people who live further west then you do. lol shhhhhh too much detail
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:50 pm
Woops, thanks To. I feel bad if I’m spoiling this for someone else. I just thought I was the only one left since I’m pretty much doing a one-man show for the moment.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:52 pm
Hey, Debra’s in a hotel bar. A link?
This is a first for seeing Joe in the buff taking a dip in the tub. It looks…unnatural.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 8:53 pm
I’m listening to you and love hearing your comments. Glad you are enjoying this.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:55 pm
Ok, I can kind of understand if Allison is a bit jealous of Joe receiving texts from the baby lady…if there were really anything to be jealous of. Come on! They went through this horrific ordeal together. She already knows Joe loyalty to her alone. Allison, I love ya, but chill out. The phone in the tub was a little extreme in my opinion.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:57 pm
STOP TALKING TO DEBRA!!!! I’m getting really nervous.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 8:59 pm
Woah! end in a dream. Now I’m hooked. But I still don’t trust Debra.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 9:03 pm
Shhhhhh You do get carried away and really get into it don’t you???? Join the club.
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 9:04 pm
Well, gotta run to the airport. Talk to you all later. ‘night.
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 9:05 pm
Nite Dorothy
Do you agree the acting was up a notch? Both Allison and Joe?
Talk to you tomorrow
Tom
May 2, 2007 at 9:06 pm
Nite everyone whereever you all disappeared to.
Lena
May 2, 2007 at 9:39 pm
I’m sorry that I had problems joining the regular conversation. But it was nice to be here anyway. Good night to all of you Happy Mediums
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 9:43 pm
I say people should jump into Open Mic Night at the end and just start yakking. That way, the ones watching the show earlier can have a rip-roaring time with each other without having to censor themselves in fear of spoiling it for the ones who come later. If I were on the east coast, I would be very frustrated not to be able to just blurt things out. As a west-coaster, I’ll just avoid the earlier comments. Or not, as I like to know what happens ahead of time. Me no likee suspense.
Dawn
May 2, 2007 at 10:03 pm
Okay, I’m back. I got involved in the show and couldn’t tear myself away. This ep was FANTASTIC!! LOVED everything about it (except Deputy Doll). The acting all around was exceptional (except Deputy Doll) and the writing was superb. Every time I think that the writers and actors cannot possibly get any better, they do it and surprise me again. This ep once again proves my contention that Medium is one of the most well-written, best-acted shows on television. Patricia Arquette and Jake Weber have once again outdone themselves with this story.
Brett
May 2, 2007 at 10:05 pm
I just skipped ahead to where the west coast showing begins. Everyone on the east coast should just go ahead and discuss.
On that note, great opening scene with the dream within a dream. I loved Joe’s reaction upon being woken.
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 10:07 pm
Talk about a surprise with your cereal. Blech!
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 10:08 pm
Bridgette never talk again? What are the odds?
Dawn
May 2, 2007 at 10:12 pm
I loved Joe’s reaction when Allison woke up screaming. That’s got to be one of the best wakeup scenes they’ve ever done.
Dawn
May 2, 2007 at 10:17 pm
Oh, my God! I just figured out who the opposing attorney was! I knew she looked familiar. She was the girl who interviewed Patricia on the podcast that we were listening to a couple of months ago. I knew I recognized her. Her name is Kamala Lopez Dawson.
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 10:19 pm
Why is Allison always sitting out in the main room? Her office is in the broom closet.
Brett
May 2, 2007 at 10:20 pm
“That’s some kind of perverse expedience.”
That’s a really good line.
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 10:21 pm
Speaking of people trivia, where the heck have I seen Mrs. McHeadlesson before? I am picturing her as a calm psycho type, the jilted girlfriend who would never go away or something.
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 10:24 pm
“It pissed me off”
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Brett
May 2, 2007 at 10:28 pm
Also a great line. :D
Brett
May 2, 2007 at 10:35 pm
Debra is not to be trusted. First, how the heck did she track Allison down? That’s a big garage. And what’s with all the questions about Devalos and what she does?
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 10:37 pm
Yeah. Reporter?
Sheila
May 2, 2007 at 10:45 pm
Nitey nite people. I am signing off to watch the last part of show sans computer.
What a unique concept.
Toodles all!
Brett
May 2, 2007 at 10:46 pm
She’s so agressive with it too. What’s it like working with Devalos? Oh, you have kids, great. So how’s the big case going?
Dorothy
May 2, 2007 at 11:54 pm
I’m back from the airport and some late night grocery shopping (thank you Walmart). I just wanted to say thank you all for being suspicious of Debra! Yes, I’m not the only one. Can’t wait for next week. This one is gonna be a doozy! nite.
Sheila
May 3, 2007 at 8:37 am
Okay, I have to say it: I am NOT HAPPY with the direction they are taking this multiple story arc thingey. I am sure it will all work out fine in the end but I do not like it when bad things happen to good people who just happen to see dead people. If only Allison had a super power instead, she could smite Debra and be done with it.
I remembered where I have seen Mrs. Heddy McHeadlesson before: the L&O:CI episode Beast. It’s Katie MacNichol. She DID play a calm psycho. She murdered a woman by getting her to put cocaine up her own hoo-hoo, all so Katie/Colleen could be with hoo-hoo girl’s husband (Bronson Pinchot/Balki from Perfect Strangers), who didn’t really want her in the first place.
It is a small and twisted world, that Hollywood.

Sheila, I’m with you. I hate to see Allison going through such an ordeal. First the thing with Joe and he won’t talk to her, and then she helps convict an “innocent” man (I’m still not sure about that), and then this “friend” comes along and things are about to get a lot worse before they get better. I told you I didn’t trust that chick. She’s trouble, I’m telling you.
But I loved the episode. The writing and acting were, as always, top-notch, and I’m sure (at least I hope) that the writers won’t leave Allison out there on her own for too long. Surely Joe will come to his senses soon, won’t he? And Allison will figure out that her new friend isn’t really a friend, right?
Poor Allison. It must be really hard not to be able to make friends and to live with a secret like that. I really feel sorry for her and I hope this story has a happy ending for her and for Joe.

OK, did you all hear me screaming to Allison to shut up and stop talking to Debra?
I have to admit, Neve’s hair looked much better in the episode than in the TV Guide pic.
My theory is that the guy really killed his wife, Debra is his girlfriend and accomplice. She is the one who put the head of his wife on the now headless new dead body - maybe even killed the new person, too so he could get off.
What’s up with Scanlon not even making an appearance until 40 minutes into the show? What’s up with Deputy Doll getting more air time than Scanlon? This is just WRONG people, WRONG I say! Scanlon was on screen for maybe 1 minute total time tonight. SO WRONG!!!!!!
Allison didn’t know who Joe was text messaging because he closed up his cell phone so she couldn’t see. If we didn’t know this lady had just given birth, that is classic behaviour of a man who is having an affair. Yea, there are not generally too smart with their behavior - my friends (now ex husband) kept the love letters from his twinkie on the side in his car.
Gotta love Marie! You go girl!

Thanks to everyone for all of the great snacks and drinks! I’m confidant that only those over 21 partook of adult beverages…..

Looking forward to the next open mic night. So happy to find a site where everyone shares an enthusiasm and passion for this show. Looking forward to the next two episodes very much. My husband doesn’t share the enthusiasm that I do.
