Open Mic Reminder for Still Life
Don’t miss Sunday’s Lifetime showing of Still Life, which originally aired 11/21/2005. This is the famous 3-D episode. I’ll be holding an open mic if you want to hang out while the episode is on. If you don’t have your 3-D glasses from the last time, you can get the instructions to make them from none other than the U.S. government site here.

This is a really good episode - even without the 3 D glasses! If you bought the Season 2 DVD set, the glasses came with it.
I find, however, that if you are visually impaired as I am, and wear eyeglasses normally to see beyond your nose that the 3 D effect just doesn’t seem to work very good. Unfortunately, without my eyeglasses, I can’t see anything much. Anyone else have that problem?
Did I miss the posting from last week’s episode for Open Mic night? I never did see one.
I don’t have internet at home, so I won’t be able to post on Sunday.
This is a really good episode and there are some great special effects. Lots of Scanlon and Allison interaction in this episode.
I’ll have some pumpkin bread ready for a snack - it’s so good all by iteself, but even better with some butter on it toasted - YUM! One of my favorite things about fall!

Betty,
No, I had a whole houseful of sick people to take care of and exhausted myself. I woke up at 1 a.m. and said, “Oh, no! Medium.”
Pumpkin bread sounds wonderful. I wonder how it would taste with a huge bowl of chili.

Katelyn,
I hope everyone is feeling well and healthy again!
My two grandsons have both had pink eye this week - the older one on Saturday and then the little one came down with it on Thursday. Their day care center is almost phobic about having them wash their hands, too, yet it’s been making the rounds from classroom to classroom.
Last week was a good episode - the creepy Dr Walker. It’s the one where Lee calls Allison at home in the evening and tells her he’s spotted Dr Walker at this restaurant where he eats dinner 3 or 4 times a week. Allison changes and rushes there only to see the wallpaper has an old west theme with Dr Walker’s wanted picture on it! Needless to say, she was pissed at Scanlon for that! He thought it was funny. I just love it when she gives him or Lee the “drop dead” look! Too funny. I think everyone who has ever been married has used that look for their spouse at one time or another.
Allison used that “drop dead” look on Lee again in “Be Kind Rewind”. She used it on Joe, too. Hysterical!

I think cornbread would be much better with chilli. Oh, and I plan to make some homemade bread, too - just plain old whitebread. We finally had some honest to goodness fall weather this week! It’s so nice to be able to turn off the A/C for a change! Won’t feel so bad about turning the oven on and heating up the house - hey, my stove is probably from the 40’s or 50’s - an old Hardwicke model - it’s hard to find stoves that are as wide as mind nowadays without spending $2000 for one. I couldn’t believe it when I was at my daughter’s house this summer - she has a brand new house - her oven wasn’t even hot on the outisde when it was on! Makes me want to buy a new oven so bad.

Betty,
I love that episode! I thought Scanlon was so mean to do that to her. I’m sorry I missed it, but I suppose I could always pull out the taped set and watch it.
