Patricia Arquette is Out and About For Gay Youth
DECEMBER 3, 2006: Patricia Arquette attended the ninth annual Cracked Christmas comedy fundraiser for the Trevor Project, which operates a suicide prevention hotline for gay youth (866-488-7386).

Patricia’s sister Alexis Arquette, who is transgender, was reportedly outraged when recently-outed actors T.R. Knight (Grey’s Anatomy) and Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser, M.D., How I Met Your Mother) hurried by, refusing to do press interviews. Read the full USA Today article

I couldn’t be prouder of the girl - it speaks volumes about her that she turns out for such an important yet neglected cause.
Still… what’s with the outfit? Did Aunt Minnie Mae knit that for her? If so, she might want to make a little more room in the bust area in future attempts.
And note the lack of open smile in the single pictures…I fear she’s been reading my bitchy comments about her teeth on this very blog!
Patty - you’re a beautiful woman, and I suspect a beautiful person as well - pay no heed to what you may read - it’s all in good fun! For the record, my hair is fake, so what do you care if I jest about your teeth?
You’re a damn good actress and I know we ALL appreciate your turning out to support such a great cause.
That said, I know you’ll understand when I make fun of you in the future… After all, everyone needs a hobby.
Perhaps I could knit you something ugly to wear to a premier sometime?

And by the way….Alexis Arquette needs to calm down just a little - T.R. Knight and Neil Patrick Harris have jobs on hit television shows to think of… Yes, they came out, but to press the point is to endanger shows that support hundreds of individuals. Not only are their careers already on the line, but the careers of others along with them. Let’s not forget the hasty demise of “Ellen” after her coming out episode. For now, it’s a big deal if America just keeps watching their shows.
It’s not right that they have to think that way, but at the moment it’s understandable.
Alexis has been out since day one - and more power to her! But give the newbies a little time to find their footing.

I do not remember ever seeing a full Patricia Arquette smile. She has probably trained herself not to so as to avoid ridicule. Which we give her anyway. Why? Because we love.
