Allison DuBois has updated her blog. She talks about being on the road and describes some of the different places where she’s been appearing. While the tips on where to eat are probably helpful for people who will be traveling to the same places, Medium lovers will probably be more interested in the different psychic related experiences she had.
Baltimore, my hometown, seemed to have a lot of parents who were missing their children and people at her Philadelphia seminar were missing their sons. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a child.
She also talked about an entire town of mediums called Lily Dale. I’d like to find out more about it. There has to be an interesting story behind it.

E. It isn’t an easy letter, but I will not let it defeat me. Let’s see…E. Hmmm….
I guess we have to start with the Emmys. Although Medium was overlooked this year, Patricia Arquette has taken home a shiny Emmy before.
You may remember my list of evil villains of Medium. Evil characters definitely are a big part of many of the best episodes in Medium history.
Ummm…four days later and I’m still drawing a blank. I think I will have to wrap this post up with the excellent crew of Medium. The writers, producers, lighting crew, wardrobe - let’s give them all a hand.

Two of America’s most famous psychics having t.v. shows? Too cool or less exciting than flat root beer? I wanted to know what you think, which means it is poll time:
Are You More Excited About the New T.V. Show for Lisa Williams or Allison Dubois?

Thanks to Linda R. who commented that Lisa Williams is going to be on Lifetime with a new show. Voices From the Other Side will be airing for five days straight starting with October 27th and will be on at 11 am EST. If you’ve been wishing you could see her in person and couldn’t afford the tickets or couldn’t handle the drive, this is almost as cool, right?
I’m hoping to be free at least a few of these days to do some live blogging of the show, but it is airing during the time we usually do our homeschool preschool sessions. (I have gotten really great at singing the ABC song incredibly fast, which is apparently hilarious. I personally think it is much more amusing to sing “Head and Shoulders” at warp speed…)

Well, the answer is that most of you feel very displeased with Medium’s mid-season spot. In fact, the only ones who aren’t unhappy are viewers from overseas, who are still enjoying fresh episodes of season four! (You lucky, lucky people!)
What should we do to the NBC execs that relegated Medium to mid-season?
- Force them to watch reruns of other NBC shows for 7 days straight.
2-13% of all votes
- Make them peel an entire room full of onions without running water.
4-25% of all votes
- Force them to listen to a continuous recording of different fans whining, “But I don’t want to wait until January!” until they snap.
9-56% of all votes
- Don’t car it be S1
1-6% of all votes

In Season One Episode Two Suspicions and Certainties, the kids are having a sibling rivalry moment. Jake Weber gives us one of the best moments of the episode when he says, “Hey kids, stop trying to kill each other. Mommy finds it depressing.”
Ah, who am I kidding? It isn’t the lines, it’s the delivery. The man could recite the times table and crack me up.

It seems like young adult psychic/medium related fiction is really big right now. I just finished reading WAKE by Lisa McMann, which is the story of a girl who is pulled into the dreams of anyone around her. Janie is a teen who doesn’t understand why she can’t stay out of other people’s dreams. She thinks she is helpless until she finds out that she can actually help people change their dreams.
However, a terrifying dream she happens to fall into while she is driving her car really freaks her out. Will she be able to figure out what is going on with the person having these nightmarish dreams and manage to make it through school with decent grades when she is forced to zone out along with any classmates who fall asleep and start having dreams? I’m not going to tell you. You’re going to have to read the book to find out!

So, I’ve heard more than one Medium fan express displeasure over the way this great show is squeezed in as a mid-season filler. But what I want to know is exactly how much it annoys you.

I used random.org to select the three winners of the Green Stone of Healing books and they are comments # 32,15 and 51. (We ended up with 83 entries. Thanks to everyone for participating!) Congratulations to Erma, Anne and Deb. I’ll email all three of you for your mailing info so I can ship out your books.
Now, if you didn’t win, don’t be too sad. b5media’s annual Blogtoberfest is just a few days away and you will have a ton of chances to win cool prizes. I know everyone in the Lifestyles channel is involved and I’m pretty sure some other blogs will be participating, too.

Okay, I’m the first to admit Patricia Arquette is fabulous, but I’ll have to take a back seat to Zoe Lucker, because I am not going to name my kids after any of her movie characters. That’s right - Zoe Lucker’s little baby is named Lilly Alabama and, according to Celebrity Babies, the new bundle of joy’s middle name comes right from Zoe’s favorite movie, True Romance, where Patricia Arquette plays the troubled Alabama.
Would you name your child after a movie character? If so, would you choose a character with big flaws or would you go for a name like Clark Kent?
