Patricia Arquette Makes a Corset for Charity
Clothes Off Our Back is holding an auction for the lovely corset that Patricia Arquette designed for them. Their blurb about it is so cute:
Own the
Frederick ’s ofHollywood custom corset designed by actress Patricia Arquette. The Emmy winner and Medium star has channeled a corset from the Victorian era. The elegant design in sleek black satin is embellished with lilac lace down the front and across the bust. It’s finished with pink netting and a lilac bow. Ms. Arquette designed the corset to support Clothes Off Our Back. Proceeds from the auction benefit’s Second Harvest, The Art of Elysium, World Education and autism research. America
She channeled a corset from the Victorian era. I just love the reference to Medium there. Anyway, the opening bid is $300, but it is for a good cause. There are nine days left, so I hope someone bids on it before the auction closes.

Yeah, I saw that, Katelyn, and I wish I could afford to bid on it, but did you see what the opening bid is? $300!!!
First of all, I don’t wear lingerie, and that wouldn’t even fit me, but I couldn’t imagine paying that much for lingerie. But it is for a great cause.
This is actually the third charity auction that Patricia has contributed to for Clothes Off Our Back this year alone. She signed two Starbucks t-shirts at the Golden Globes gift suites. (I have one of them) Her brother David also signed a couple, but I don’t know if his ever sold. She also donated a little black dress from her closet (a Riser Goodwyn) after the Emmys, and signed a bottle of wine. ( I have both of those as well)
And the lingerie is beautiful, but for one thing, it’s a bit steep in price, and I really have no use for it anyway.
But all of that is for a good cause, and I applaud Patricia for supporting such a worthy charity. And I am happy to do my part to help out. I really hope that it sells and raises a lot of money for the foundation and all those who it supports.

Oh, yeah, Katelyn. I saw the comment about her “channeling a corset from the Victorian era”, but I didn’t get it until you mentioned it. That’s cute. At least there weren’t any jokes about it being a “medium”. That’s usually the best they can come up with.
That’s funny though.
Oh, and by the way, Patricia’s sister-in-law, Courteney Cox Arquette also designed a corset for the auction. I guess all the Arquettes have big hearts, huh.

What fun! That would be so cool to have, but $300 is too steep for me and that’s just the starting bid. There are plenty of people who that is just pocket change for. We have lots of auctions, silent and live for our local Chambers, Rotaries, Galas for various organizations. God Bless the people that can afford to bid on those things.
