Patricia Arquette Outfit Bashing Is Alive and Well…
You know, the woman was not on the Red Carpet of an awards show. She was hanging at a rock concert. AND she wasn’t wearing sweats or a dress so short that we could discuss her underwear choice. However, that doesn’t stop the outfit bashers. US Magazine is actually holding a contest for readers where they submit a fashion police one liner for a photo of Patricia Arquette in her Western outfit. While she has certainly looked more fashionable, I don’t think this was an occasion that called for fashion.
What do you think? Should actors be allowed to have down time like the rest of the world or should they always dress like they’re heading out to the Emmy award show? When I think of the number of times I’ve looked down in the store and realized I ran out to get milk in my painting clothes…well, we can all be thankful that I am not a celebrity!

I absolutely agree with you, Katelyn. It was HER time and she was just hanging out at a rock concert. She should be allowed to dress however she wants when she is not making a public appearance. Her downtime is her own, and she should be allowed to dress however she wants. While I’m not crazy about her outfit or her sense of style, she does have the courage to dress for herself and not worrying about pleasing anyone else. And those people who sit at home and bash other (more famous) people on the internet for little things are this are just childish and petty, and really need to get a life. Jmo.

Unfortunately, that is the price of celebrity, especially when you’re an Arquette. There is always someone papparzzi lurking to catch celebs.
I think the top and pants would probably look fine, but the jewelry, pancho, hat, and boots must go. The hat isn’t western at all. It’s definitely an odd mix of stuff. She looks pretty otherwise.
It’s not just celebs, people who have money sometimes dress pretty outlandishly. That’s when you say they have more money than good taste!
If she were at a family picnic in a private yard and a photog was using a very long lens to capture the photo from a tree or roof somewhere, then I would be upset. In private, she cartainly has the right to wear whatever she wants and to be comforatable. A rock concert is hardly a low profile family affair or event, so you are pretty much fair game as a celeb.
Of course, I’m from the south, and any Southern Belle knows you never, never leave home without make-up on or without fixing your hair. Heck, I even put lipstick on to mow! I may have on my painting/yard work clothes, but yes, the make-up goes on because it has sunscreen in it as does the lipstick. It’s just not acceptable as a Southern woman to do any less!
