Poll Results: Allison’s Moral Dilemma
THE QUESTION
Should Allison Go To Devalos With Her Knowledge That Cooper Is a Vigilante?
YOUR VOTES
- Yes, it is black and white, he broke the law.
5 = 56% of all votes- No, there is no proof so what is the point?
0 = 0% of all votes- I am conflicted. I don’t know what to do.
4 = 44% of all votes- Total
9 = 100% of all votes
So half of you want to do the right thing and the other half are wallowing in the depths on indecision. I am the tie-breaker with a “yes” vote. Here is why:
After two years of working with Allison and having her be right all the time, Devalos and Scanlon still treat her like she is a nut job when she comes to them with a new vision of crime. So she should just tell them what she knows about Cooper and be done with it. At least she will have the satisfaction of knowing she did the right thing. What the authorities choose to do with that information is entirely up to them.
Hey, none of you are of the lackadaisical “what is the point” opinion. Or is it just that no one wants to admit to it?

Okay, so I finally watched this episode. I’m a little surprised at the survey responses. Someone has to be courageous enough to vote “NO”, so that is me.
I choose “No” from a lack of physical evidence. But I do hope they continue to follow this storyline and expose him for taking the law into his own hands. Vigilante justice is wrong.

Bravo JennBo! My only fear about the “No” vote is it leaves Allison as the only one knowing about Cooper’s crimes. If something were to happen to her, no one else would know. He has murdered two people. What is to stop him from deciding at some point down the road that she has got to go? He would, of course, justify it as self-preservation. Once you have crossed the line a killed another human being on purpose, I think it would become much easier to do it again and find a way to justify it to yourself.
Having said all that, the D.A. seems to not believe her so often that if I were her I would probably decide I was too tired to deal with it and not say anything.
Yes, I realized this reverses my earlier position. Ask me again tomorrow and I will probably give another answer. :)
