So, no surprise that almost half of you thought Patricia would be coming home and 18% of you thought everyone deserved one, but only another 18% thought Jake Weber was getting an Emmy. Well, we’ll have to wait and see. I think we should have an open mic Emmy night.

That would be so much fun to have an open mic night on Emmy night! I really, really hope Patricia comes home with an Emmy - I’m surprised no one voted for Miguel Sandoval, although if it meant choosing between them, I would have to go with Patricia all the way.
The Alma awards are being televised on ABC tomorrow night, Tues, June 5 - wonder if Miguel will be on there? Seems like I heard he was nominated for an Alma. I know they already gave the awards - so this is a taped show - wonder why it didn’t rate live?

I totally agree with you, Betty. I reeaally want Patricia to win another Emmy, just to prove something to all those naysayers who still say she didn’t deserve the one she has. I think she is by far the most underrated actress in Hollywood, and any recognition she gets is long overdue. I really want her to win again this year, but after the disappointment of the Golden Globes and the SAGs (she got RIPPED OFF), I”m not holding my breath. If she had submitted The One Behind the Wheel, I would say she is a sure bet for an Emmy, but I just don’t think with Be Kind, Rewind, she’s going to win. These awards shows are all popularity contests anyway, and shows like Grey’s Anatomy (yuck) and Sopranos are probably going to get all the awards. It’s a shame that Medium doesn’t have the “critical acclaim” that these other shows like Friday Night Lights have, because then she would be a shoo-in for a win. I think it’s wrong that Medium gets overlooked while other, less-deserving shows get raved about. Hollywood is a messed-up business.

Dawn,
I agree with you. I will tell you if the Sopranos win anything this year I know it is fixed. This has been a disappointing season.
Also, send me an email, I don’t have your address with me in North Carolina, can only see my new emails, can’t see my address book or old emails.

An Emmy open mic night might be fun. We can all comment about what people are wearing and who wins. For some reason I really like to watch awards shows, but I always end up watching them alone. It would be fun to have someone to discuss what’s going on with. If I’m not busy count me in!

GREAT NEWS, EVERYBODY!!
The Envelope is reporting that Patricia Arquette is DEFINITELY in the top ten for an Emmy nomination!! The next step is for the voters to watch the submissions and choose the nominees. But Patricia’s chances for an Emmy just got a WHOLE LOT better.
YAY, Patricia!!! Good luck on the Emmys!!
No news yet on any of the other actors, though, darnit.
