Poll Results: What is your favorite Medium episode so far this season?

Four Dreams, Be Kind, Rewind, and Mother’s Little Helper got the ONLY votes, with Be Kind, Rewind edging out the other two.

What is your favorite Medium episode so far this season?

I thoroughly enjoyed all three of those episodes myself. Now, the question is, if you had to choose your favorite from just those three, which would it be? Hmm…much harder, is it not?

If I had to pick just one of those as my favorite, I would have to say Four Dreams: the involvement of pretty much the entire cast in the various storyline; the cartoon sequences that, though disturbing, were something I had never seen before; more personal info about Devalos (diabetes) and Scanlon (he wants kids); a snippet of Allison’s past (Clay Bicks). All in all, it was very well done.

I would have to say this is the order of my favorite episodes this season, started with the best:

1. Be Kind, Rewind
This episode was awesome. It was cool seeing her make changes each day to change the final result. I totally freaked out when she lost her legs, and Sofia’s crying was perfect. Scanlon dying scared me, too. The scene where she tells of the telemarketer and tells Ariel to get tough–one of the funniest things I have ever scene.

2. Four Dreams
This was a great episode for character development. We got to see more of Devalos and Scanlon. They both got subplots that have carried out (sort of) throughout the season. Not to mention the neat cartoons and Allison’s

3. Better Off Dead and Mother’s Little Helper (tied)
Better Off Dead was had a great storyline–the ghosts became friends. He didn’t want help, and the love story worked well. Then, in Mother’s Little Helper we saw much more of Ariel. She helped solve the case, then she got to go to the dance with the guy and be crowned queen! Any girl’s dream. Music in both of these episodes was really good.

4. Blood Relation
Nice to see reoccurring characters, but this episode was just okay. Not bad, just not a whole lot stands out to be as great.

5. Profiles In Terror and Ghost In the Machine (tied)
Mediocre. This show is so great, though, a mediocre episode will stand out like a sore thumb. Marie stealing cable saved Profiles in Terror. The crime was left totally open. I hate it when they do that. As for Ghost In the Machine, a cute birthday scene and snippets at the beginning of Allison’s past were kind of neat. But, again, the crime left something to be desired.

6. The Whole Truth
Probably one of the worst episodes of the series. There was no ending, they didn’t have enough evidence to get the bad guy. And, there was no “B” story to save it.

I’d say 4 Dreams is at the top of my list. It was nice to see snippets of everyone’s life and not just Allison/Joe/kids. That can help you understand the characters better and gives them more depth to play off of as actors.

Be Kind Rewind is next on my list. It was neat to see how each dream gave her more clues. My heart sank when Scanlon was shot! So glad that was just a dream! It had some really funny stuff with Scanlon - the way the DA looked at him when Allison says he wouldn’t look in the guy’s trunk when they stopped him and Devalos gives Scanlon this look to which he goes, “WHAT? Allison that yesterday hasn’t happened yet, that yesterday was a dream!”

Ghost in the Machine is the next on my list.
I loved the way Scanlon tells Lynn “you’re not invited” when going to interrogate the husband. I thought that was a great interrogation - showed Scanlon being tough - most times he is very low key, matter-of-fact when he asks questions, this time he was in the guys face. I love the way he calls Allison to tell her what she was RIGHT about(when he finds the dead sniper) because she had gotten so frustrated that the clues seemed to be pointing no where, then they started to fall into place. Loved the way the 3 of them teamed up to get the girl who masterminded everything.

Better Off Dead - this is my next favorite because it left a nice feeling and was a sweet love story and good story about friends - true friends.

Mothers Little Helper was a good ep because of the mother/daughter bond going on and how Ariel was having a hard time with her gift.

Least Favorites - Blood Relation, Profiles in Terror, and The Whole Truth. Blood Relation was just awkward - I think Allison is better than that now not to be fooled by this and for Pete’s sake, how many times can we see this Walker guy anyway? Scanlon wasn’t in here much either and in the end Allison is nearly killed by the guy and no one is there with her? No famifications from Joe when she turns up bloody? Come on!

Profiles in Terror - I thought they could have come up with a more creative way to do this ep besides having this FBI guy be on the dark side. Seems like Allison would have confided in Scanlon or Devalos about the info to sound them out and see if anything could be done. After all the guy was steeling evidence and killing the perps himself!

The Whole Truth - I just thought this whole ep was mess!
