I hope they play more with Scanlon and Lynn DiNovi. They were good together. However, they have some serious issues they need to work out first. He’s a good guy and deserves a good life. I would combine two of the options and have them get married. It would be funny for him to go “find himself” though. Not realistic, but funny. Killing someone would lead to an interesting story with legal stuff, and he’d probably come out fine, but if I can only choose one I would have him get back together with the Deputy Major.

Holy crap, if Scanlon and DiNovi get back together I’ll vomit and then die a horrible death. They have absolutely no chemistry and Scanlon could have chemistry with a potted plant. Point made? Other than that, I love all the choices. I chose him shooting someone. Sounds like good fun, tension all around. Shooting him would be good, too, as would a baby Lee. In fact, I’d pay money if he could shoot someone, get shot, and knock someone up in one scene.

Maybe DiNovi could have Scanlon’s baby out of wedlock, so they get back together for the child’s sake and then get married. On their wedding night, as they make sweet love and he knocks her up (again), a perp he previously put away but who is now out on parole and bent on revenge breaks in and shoots Scanlon. Only wounded, Scanlon reaches for the gun he always keeps near and kills the perp, technically in the line of duty because, really, he was not out on parole but rather an escapee. Due to the trauma of the whole thing, Scanlon quits the force to go “find himself.”
I would have had a stray bullet kill DiNovi so we could finally be rid of her, but then she technically would not have been knocked up and we wouldn’t have the knocking-someone-up-while-shooting-and-getting-shot that Nancee wanted.
Maybe Allison could see it all in a dream to get around that pesky believability hurdle.

Ha Ha, that’s perfect. That would be a really entertaining episode. All we need to do is make sure the writers see this…
