Profiles in Terror - First Thoughts
I just love that Kurtwood Smith. I actually thought he was monumentally creepy for quite some time but then he showed up on That 70’s Show as the dad and, well, how could I not like him after that? Not that I have ever watched a single episode of That 70’s Show. I have, however, seen the previews. He is very funny.
The creepiness for me came from Robocop. And when he played the Federation President in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and, at the end, it seemed like he was blind but I don’t think the character actually was blind and before I could figure it out Captain Kirk tackled him to prevent a Klingon assassin from shooting him. Only it wasn’t really a Klingon and much chaos ensued and I never did figure out if the Federation President
was supposed to be blind.
I see I need to do a “Spotlight on…” post about Kurtwood Smith.
As for “Profiles in Terror.” I have but one highlight: this is the “Marie Can Steal Cable” episode! I totally thought that was going to be episode 8, “Mother’s Little Helper.”
Other than that, Joe’s coworker (whom we have never seen before) is quite funny and a tasty bit of eye candy, to boot. They either did not mention his name or I was busy wiping up the drool and missed it. I will look for it when I review the episode tomorrow as I clean up my liveblogging.
So what did you think? Loved it? Hated it? Don’t really give a crap either way? Do let us know.
