Rerun Open Mic 11/2/2005 Episode - The Reckoning
The Reckoning is the episode where Allison fears she will hit a girl with her car and tries to figure out who murdered a girl who thought her house was haunted. Please join me for an open mic tonight as the rerun of this episode airs on Lifetime at 11 pm EST. I am serving fresh cranberry chocolate biscotti and an assortment of flavored coffees. I also have my favorite Irish Breakfast tea.

Men just do not get that they’re not supposed to try to fix things, do they? Joe earnestly maps out an entire plan so Allison doesn’t hit that poor girl and she just wants him to listen.

And there is the poor girl being hit by a car. Not Allison’s car, though. It is the sad woman and her husband. Now, she can stop stressing about hitting the girl and get back to worrying about Ariel. Having a gift to foretell the future when you are 12 must be a terrible burden.

As always, a day late. What a terrific episode! For some reason, I have really overlooked this episode when viewing many of the other season 1 and 2 eps over and over.
Didn’t this one have some creepy elements? The image of the face from the husband’s cigarette smoke? CREEPY!
The lights going on and off? The music going on by itself?
Allison seeing the flames was cool, too.
I had to laugh also when Allison and Scanlon were speaking with Devalos about the case and and Scanlon just happens to mention he’s already called the guy in and he is sitting in the conference room waiting to speak to him! Reminds me of the ep where Allison convinces Scanlon to keep an eye on the boy who’d been in prison for some infraction and he starts to run from them and gets hit by a car - Devalos really yelled at them both, but Scanlon takes up for Allison.
Wasn’t it also creepy when Allison was in the car and the woman’s image is in her rear view mirror and she is talking about the chance her husband had to come clean - this is after she had shot herself, and instead of calling for help, he lets her lay there and die so she won’t tell anyone they hit the girl. She casually mentions as we hear sirens in the background - wonder what would happen if someone were to blow out the pilot light on their old kitchen stove - and her husband being stuffed up with a cold couldn’t smell the gas - and lit up a cigarette? Hmmm, wht do you think would happen? Guess she showed him!
Another really solid episode.
