Season Four Medium Spoiler

by Katelyn on August 20th, 2007

devalosWow, here’s a big spoiler for the next season of Medium from E Online:

District Attorney Devalos becomes Private Citizen Devalos, attorney-at-law. And the DuBois family is in financial trouble…Oh, and poor Detective Scanlon? He’s been assigned to teach elementary school kids about bicycle safety.

Scanlon teaching kids to ride their bikes while murder and mayhem roar through the place? Good use of resources, huh?

Oh, to be one of those kids! They just don’t know how lucky they are!

Gee, doesn’t sound promising for his relationship with “Deputy Doll”. That is unless her political hopes have been dashed as well. In Four Dreams she so broke his heart when she didn’t want to disclose the fact she was dating a “civil servant” who just happened to be a homicide detective - the “elite of the police force”. Now he’s been sent to teach kids about bicycle safety? ECK! That’s OK with me - any reason for them to break up is fine. He deserves better - hopefully with an actress who can actually act! HA!

I suppose when the election comes up for DA, Devalos can always run again.

Allison can always offer to write a book for a nice advance………

I’m not too sure I trust the source of that information. It sounded like sarcasm to me. There may be a bit of truth to it, but I’m not sure I believe it. If Devalos becomes a private attorney, how will they keep him on the show? I don’t see how they can keep him or Scanlon and continue to use them if they’re not helping Allison solve crimes. The only part of that that sounds reasonable is the part about Joe and Allison’s financial troubles. I guess we’ll have to wait until next January to see what happens. Maybe we’ll find out sooner. (fingers crossed)

I suppose if Devalos is a Defense Attorney, he could be defending people accused of murder and Allison could help him with their cases by pointing him in the right direction………kind of like she did before, only this time he’s not the one prosecuting the case. After the noteriety people with these kinds of problems could seek him out because of his previous work with Allison.

Someone in an earlier post had mentioned Scanlon becoming a Private Detective. There are lots of possibilities.

You know what they say, “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!”

Kristin’s usually fairly reliable, but bicycle safety?? OMG. That would be just plain evil to force Scanlon to do that. Although, it could be cute for one or two episodes, especially if Scanlon’s teaching it in Ariel and/or Brid’s classes. Longer than that and I’d think he’d go out of his mind being away from detective work. Wait a sec … if the spoiler’s true, this could also mean that he’ll be spending less time with deputy doll (fingers crossed!)

Scanlon (David Cubitt) is so cute with the kids! I certainly hope we get to find out some more about Scanlon’s background. We still don’t know if his parents are dead or alive or what kind of parents they were. Interestingly enough, many cops become cops because they come from dysfuntional families and they like the control of being a cop.

Scanlon might decide he likes working with kids - or might find a kid to mentor or adopt - in Four Dreams we saw that he has a hankering to be a dad - just loved that “rent-a-kid” bit!

Don’t know how that career change would facilitate him working with Allison, but you never know.

nansee, I’m so with you on spending less time (or any) with Deputy Doll!

Allison could always uncover some big scandal involving the new DA person and oust him from office.

Devalos and Scanlon have done nothing wrong. Hopefully we won’t see our favorite people down and out for long. Just looking to make some lemonade here people.

When I initially read this, my first thought was how would this person know and why would the producers allow this type of information to get out so early.

I agree with Dawn, I wouldn’t go to the bank on this information.

Its good to see that Betty has not lost her crush on Scanlon.

I am just going to stay calm and so far the writers have not let me down. (Except for the creation of the Deputy Doll character)

Hope everyone is having a great summer, and looking forward to seeing the Emmys next month with our gal winning best actress.

Hey Tom! Can’t wait until the Emmys. I think I’ll dress up and everything.

I was just excited to get some Medium news - NBC doesn’t exactly treat the show like the winner it is you know.

I think Kristen at E is OK. Ausiello at TV Guide is the one who likes to report the negative stuff. Shows frequently release tid bits of info to get and keep people interested.
