Spotlight on Margo Martindale
Stage and screen actress Margo Martindale guest stars as a psychic named Catherine in the Medium Pilot (MED-001) and again in In Sickness and Adultery (MED-005). Catherine is a normal, middle-aged woman you wouldn’t find remarkable if you passed on the street, except maybe for the big dangly earrings she likes to wear. But what girls doesn’t like a bling every once in a while, eh? Her only quirk is an ability she shares with Allison DuBois: she talks to dead people.
I love that the mediums on Medium are normal people who just happen to do extraordinary things. They don’t wear scarves and filmy caftans or gaze into crystal balls. I hope we see lots more of Margo Martindale as Catherine on Medium.

Margo Martindale’s IMDb profile lists her first credit back in 1988 and she has been working in movies and TV ever since. I wonder how long she has also been acting on the stage because, in 1994, she was nominated for a Tony award for her performance as Big Mama in the Broadway revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
