Sweet Child O’ Mine Notes and Trivia
Since they took away the new episode last night and replaced it with a repeat, let us make the best of it, shall we?
Sweet Child O’ Mine
Notes, Trivia, and Completely Biased Opinions
Gina Hecht plays Dr. Andrews, mother to the boy accused of murdering his coffee-shop boss. She looks familiar, doesn’t she? But where have you seen her before…?
EVERYWHERE, that’s where. Check our her IMDb profile. She has been in several movies (including one where she played God), but mostly she has been all over TV. I’m not sure if she would be happy to know this or not, but I remember her from when she guest starred on Star Trek:The Next Generation in the episode A Matter of Perspective. The worst part? That episode aired in 1990. That was SEVENTEEN years ago people. She still looks exactly the same. (Only without the alien makeup and prosthetics.)
Scanlon was totally flirting with Allison in this episode! And the part where she holds up the Chinese Restaurant page she tore out of the phone book and asks him if he wants to check it out with her? Do you think he thought it was a date-ish rendezvous? Maybe just a leeetle beeet?
The Oracle calculates Gina Hecht’s degree of separation from the Medium cast before she guest starred in this episode:

Sofia Vassilieva was in “Medium” (2005) {Suspicions and Certainties (#1.2)} with John Mese
John Mese was in Pizza My Heart (2005) (TV) with Gina HechtMethinks The Oracle cheated with those last two, using other Medium episodes, but they are child actors who have not been in much yet so I am giving The Oracle a break.
So Allison had a son. We did not know that before this episode. I wonder what Patricia Arquette’s real life son Enzo looks like. At 17, he is even older than her TV dream son, who was 15.

Yes! You are right about Scanlon flirting - it was a little mumbled, but I swear he said, “Hey good looking” and smiled so big when Allison walked up with the menu! I just love when he flirts with her - I totally believe he is in love with her, but he has this moral sense about things - I don’t think he believes in cheating spouses if you notice the way he brings that up with interrogation subjects.

Scanlon said, “Hey good lookin’, what’s cookin’?”
I just love him and his sexy little smile that makes you wonder just exactly what he is thinking in there. ::sigh::
