Sylvia Browne - Always Worth a Laugh

by Katelyn on August 1st, 2007

holy waterI just spit tea all over my keyboard laughing, so I thought I’d share this excerpt from Montel Williams that T.O. from LAMLand blogged about this morning:

…you can make your own holy water by putting it in the sun and making the sign of the cross over it three times.

I’m so thankful for that DIY tip. No pureness or prayer needed, folks. I think I’ll run right outside and make a pitcher of holy water this afternoon. While I’m at it, I’m going to toss in some sun tea. Seriously, why is she still on Montel Williams?

4 opinions for Sylvia Browne - Always Worth a Laugh

Unfortunately, she’s good for ratings - the people who watch Montel Williams never hear anything negative about what she says on his show. If they do not pay attention to other sources, then she is completely convincing the way she hands out her information. Unlike other shows where they talk to a troubled family or someone else in some type of crisis and later have a results or updating show to let viewers know how things turned out, they don’t do that with Sylvia’s information.

I thought she was great, too, until I came to this site and started to read all of the negative things posted about her.

I’ve always thought there was something fishy about Sylvia Browne, but it was just kind of one of those things I didn’t care enough to research her background and stuff. The dead giveaway was when she would tell people about their pasts and about their ‘guardians’.

    “Who’s my Guardian Syl–”
“John. He’s dark, tall, and handsome!”

Why couldn’t you make holy water the way Sylvia said? How do you make it?

    Hi Katie,
Traditionally, holy water was made by a priest or someone else in a church blessing it. Today, holy water made by Wiccans or other alternative religions still isn’t just a matter of heating it up in the sun. They believe that holy water must be made using water from a pure source, like a mountain spring. Most of them also use purification rituals, sea salt and a few other things to make it.
