Sylvia Browne Won’t Touch a Million Dollars with a Ten Foot Pole
Quackwatch has a very detailed account of attempts to get Sylvia Browne to take the million dollar test to prove psychic ability.:
Most assuredly you’ve heard the phrase “innocent until proven guilty.” I’m pretty much a believer in that saying. Our legal system is built around it — and justifiably so. But what if an alleged psychic makes three promises on international television to test her extraordinary claims, yet makes no effort to do so? Should the phrase for that person become “guilty until proven innocent?” In any event, I’m referring to one of the most popular “spiritual mediums” in the country — if not the world. Sylvia Browne — herein after referred to simply as “Sylvia.”
Professor Farha goes on to list specific evidence that she has broken these promises. It’s kind of a fun read for Sylvia bashers everywhere. Seriously, how can she sleep at night with all the people she’s misled and upset?

Oh, I imagine she sleeps just fine on her expensive mattress, in her very expensive bed, no doubt in the lap of luxury in her mansion. I also imagine she travels first class only and stays in the finest hotel suites and only eats at the best places.

I find her to be true. She can only work with as much as God allows for her. There isn’t a person in this world that knows it all or is always right. Maybe the ones who think she is fake are not happy with themselves and and just because life has not dealt them the best hand is no reason to pull apart a well known psychic. Yes let me tell you she is for real. I stand by that. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and should not judge others.
