The Closer and Medium - Realistic Women

Like Patricia Arquette in Medium, The Closer allows its main character to struggle with problems most women struggle with while also maintaining her professionalism when necessary.
So, who’s watching The Closer? I’d say that Allison handles problems much more gracefully at times, but I do enjoy seeing any television show that portrays actors as real people with real problems instead of having them be vapid two dimensional characters.

I love The Closer and Kyra Sedgwick - actually they have a great ensemble cast and I really like them all. Kyra plays an imperfect woman in her personal life, but a very assured and exacting woman on the job. I think she is more unsure of her personal decisions than Allison is about her own. Allison struggles with decisions that affect others more I think then ones that affect her. Of course, Allison has children to deal with which Brenda Lee Johnson does not. Right now a cat is about all she can keep up with! Both women show a lot of compassion for the people they work with and for the families of the victims.
