What Is Your Favorite Spooky Book?
Do you have a favorite spooky or paranormal book you like to take to the beach? I thought it would be nice to share our favorites so everyone is well supplied with beach reads this summer. I’ve set of this poll so that you can add your own choices, but that option never seems to work for anyone so I’ve added an “Other” choice, too. My personal favorite are the Ed Okonowitz stories. They’re local spooky stories that are supposed to be true and fun to read.

I love horror books for the pool (Didn’t make it to the beach this year.) Well, my favorite spooky book of all time is Bram Stoker’s _Dracula_ (the 1897 novel, not the 1992 movie…) I also like Ray Bradbury’s short horror collection, _October Country_. That’s actually a good one for the beach or pool b/c it’s very good short ones that you can read a chunk at a time. My favorite Stephen King is _The Talisman_. I just checked my bookshelf and it’s a 769 pager, but it makes a nice one since you can get it cheaply at used bookstores and not have to worry about your kids splashing you while reading. :)
