What’s the Frequency Kyle? Review
What’s the Frequency, Kyle? opens with a battered Lori being hovered over by her concerned family and Stephen Trager’s father suffering from a serious stroke. Jessie continues to develop as a character and Nicole is helping her with therapy. Perhaps she is not the evil person she seems to be - she would become different if people gave her guidance, I think. I guess only time will tell.
Kyle and Amanda continue to be close friends. The only thing I object to is that Amanda seems to be too wise and mature for her years. Perhaps her loss helped her grow up more quickly? Kyle develops even more powers - he communicates with Stephen’s dying father, who is in a coma.
I really like the way Jessie’s character is becoming more and more of a true person. The scene where she wants to know what is wrong with her is really nicely done. I thought she was very two dimensional at first, but Jaimie Alexander is really getting into her character and seems to be developing as an actress right in front of us. We are left with a big question - will she be reset?
Declan and Lori back together? They really seem to belong together. She needs him to anchor her, I think.
Kyle and Stephen figure out what Stephen’s dad is saying - The Prodigal Son. Stephen tells Kyle how glad he was to have him there. A final tender moment - in a rare show of sibling devotion, Josh wants to beat up the person who hurt Lori. Jessie is back at Madacorp. What will she be like next week?
And we end with a kiss between Kyle and Amanda.
Once again, a ton of stuff going on, possible clues for the future and plenty of drama. A nice, solid episode.
