Which NBC Show Should Get the Boot Poll

by Katelyn on October 9th, 2007

I didn’t include reality type shows like The Singing Bee. Does anyone watch that? It seemed pretty painful to me from the promos.

As little sense as it makes, I actually like Journeyman. But anything has to go (no matta) to get our Medium back.

I vote for Chuck. I tried to watch it and I just couldn’t. It made no sense to me and the characters were too flat. The story was boring, as well as the dialogue.

I actually kinda like Bionic Woman. It’s not that bad. Not great, but not bad. It’s watchable.

I vote for Chuck or Life. Journeyman brings some biz to the costume shop where I work, and ’sides, we love the costume designer! Designers are having such a damn hard time finding work these days, any work for the loved ones is cool beans!

I do not like Chuck. I did make it thorough the first epie but only 10 minutes of the second. And I am doing a TV survey so my vote does count. Never watch Heroes, but kind of like Journeyman. And as long as Mark Sheppard is on Bionic Woman I will watch that show. If Life is the one about the detective who was in jail, I watch that also. I like mysteries.
PS The survey will have zero votes for reality or quiz type shows. For me they only make my decision of what to watch easier – I eliminate them automatically.

I disagree about Chuck - NBC is pretty desperate to find an audience for these shows - they showed them on Sci Fi, then USA, then Bravo after they aired on NBC. I enjoyed Chuck - I find it to be fun and love the fun they make of these super stores with the “Buy More” store which is right next door to “Large Mart”. I find Chuck just entertaining.

Nothing I have read or seen about Life or Journeyman interestes me at all. If you were a cop and wrongly imprisoned for 12 years and got millions of dollars, wouldn’t you just hire a private detective instead of going back on the force? I’d be on a beach somewhere sipping mojitoes or something - anything but being a cop again.

I tried watching Heroes a couple of times last year and just didn’t get it. I was never into comic books or big time into video games, so I guess it targets the tweeners.

    I want my Medium back!

I really didn’t like Chuck’s premiere episode. However, I gave it another chance and enjoyed the most recent episode a lot more. Hopefully, they’ll continue to improve.

Oh, I watched the pilots for both Chuck and Journeyman and enjoyed them. Because I am so busy I haven’t had time to watch the rest, but they are on my DVR just waiting for a rainy day. I don’t like Heroes (tried to watch it–didn’t interest me), but I know a lot of people who do, so I would not want that show to be cancelled. I guess that leaves Bionic Woman and Life, neither of which interest me. All I know is some show needs to go because I am suffering from Medium withdraw.

Hey, Katelyn, I found this article that I thought was really interesting, and I wasn’t sure where to post it and since this thread was on top, I thought I’d put it here. This is from the Hollywood Reporter, a very nice article about Glenn Gordon Caron, with a couple of morsels about Medium. Check out the fourth paragraph from the bottom. THAT’s what I’m stoked about. I hope he does it, too.

Here’s another article from Variety that points out the soft spots in NBC’s schedule and hints that Medium could be back before January.

Hey I love Heroes, and Chuck sounds good so I pick Life as no one brought as far as I know
THe British broatcasters love to show something even if it was cancelled after a few eps,
hell they made a big fuss over Runaway in the summer and few years back SkyOne did it for Trazon, which was cancelled after what 1 ep, which is great

I love Heroes as well. I did not like Bionic as much. I found it really cookie cutter, a story we’ve heard all too much about, but it has its perks. Chuck just seems flat out strange. I thought it was really weird, and did not enjoy it that much. Journeyman was great. I loved it how he randomly jumps through time, and ends up in these weird situations. Its just something I like to watch. As for Life, I haven’t even heard of that show. In my honest opinion, if they could get rid of Private Practice and kept airing Medium on wednesdays, then that’d be great. My Mom and Dad record a lot of shows on Mondays. CSI Miami, Heroes, Brothers and sisters. Tuesdays: Boston Legal, Gossip Girl, House Wednesdays: Nothing!!! Thursdays: Grey’s Anatomy, ER, Survivor.

So as you can see, Wednesday’s leaves nothing to watch that’s good. I liked how Medium was on Wednesday’s and how you could come home, looking forward to at least 1 show in the middle of the week (We all know how tough Wednesday’s are. Oh, and those Thursdays always leave a joyous feeling. Only one more day till Friday!). Medium is all I wanted to watch on Wednesdays. With all the other shows, it would be the one that stood out so we would want to watch it more (Until Heroes came. Now it’s addicting). But perhaps… the producers are trying to catch the audience of Heroes. We watch Heroes at 9, and go to bed between 11, which is why we found Brothers and Sisters for the 10 spot, so we had something to watch. Medium is airing on Mondays or Sundays, right? I forgot which one!
